I have accepted the truth not through emotion but through a desire to search out the truth. Why deny others that opportunity by hiding the truth, or the denomination?
In fact, to this day many UU groups call themselves "societies" or "fellowships" and don't use the word "church." Some are lay-led, with no minister at all.
In fact, there's a joke that circulates that the only time you hear the word "Jesus Christ" spoken is if someone trips on the steps.
