dude this song is SO much fun to play! I did a vid of it too :) was the first song that i couldn't sing and play at the same time (at first) with... since like... when i first learned guitar. it took me practicing literally all day till i could do it haha and i felt SO proud once i got it down. like i'd run a marathon or something.

Are you using a nylon-string or steel-string guitar? You're really good by the way, kinda jealous.

@kh2punk steel string guitars work the best for songs like this, i think. if your strings are old, it'll be difficult / painful, but with new strings it should sound perfect and be easy to play. it's actually more difficult with nylon for me, because of how much they move around under your fingers.

im kindof confused on the second half of it? so you slide twice throughout it? i can't explain it. this is hard. but so you slide down, back up. pluck open. then Cchord and finger pick those ones, and then you slide again?

its easier if for the very first part you use your index and middle finger for that chord because it goes into a the c alot smoother.

i don't see how the songs melody is "haunting" memorable maybe? i don't think of sam beams acoustic work as being haunting in any case it's very memorable and simplistic which is why his music is so beautiful and his vocals perfectly compliment his songs but that's just my opinion this song and naked as we came are my favorites okay lesson work on getting it cleaner

Great tutorial. You got it all right :) but why not just finger a C chord for the intro and all of that? It's a lot of unnecessary awkward chord fingering if you finger it the way you show in the video. The whole song is just C and E minor. Just an opinion. Your way seems to be working great for everyone else though! :)

Hey man, great video. The big reason you are struggling to play and sing is because you are playing it in a way more complicated manner than is needed!

Its just a C chord, slid along and then Eminor. Just hold the C Chord throughout. Thats the way Sam plays it I'm positive
