  • aww.... mochi is so cute

  • I have a question,

Can you use Potato starch instead?

  • korean cuisine? This is Japanese food lol

  • @Shinetamaoki and because you see that in japan, korean can't have it too ?

  • @Shinetamaoki I'm sorry, but that's a really ignorant thing to say. Asian foods are influenced by other Asian countries, which is why you see so many similar foods with each culture's twist to it. LOL No one can claim to be the inventor of rice cakes......though if anything, it'd be China because history shows both Korean AND Japanese foods are influenced by them.

  • @Shinetamaoki no, it's a normal snack in South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia and some other countries too. Do some research before talking nonsense.

  • @KingArtilart Ya..it's a common in East Asia, and South East Asia, not in Korea only.

  • @Shinetamaoki this is korean food do some research

  • Luckily, I'm living in Aus and there's mochi in Chinese and Korean supermarket here so I don't have to make them by myself...I think the making process is so complicated. I've bought one packet of mochi but still haven't used yet. I wonder whether I need to cook some sweet soups to serve with this one or just boiling and then eat.

  • This looks tasty

  • Hmmm you want eat this dog?

  • Wow, this is very helpful. last time i tried to make mochi the dough wasn't hard enough and it just flattened on the plat... ^^ but I will try this way next time!

  • Thank you for sharing. I might try it soon.

  • what dose red bean paste taste like anyway

  • @kaylajo1375 it is very sweet but has the texture of something similar to refired beans. It taste good but some people can't eat too much of it unless they are used to it. At least, I know I can't because it is so sweet.

  • Those are so delicious. Thank you for showing us how to make them! I will be making them next weekend for sure! :)

  • what if I do not have microwave? How else can I cook it?

  • Hi~ there,

That is very a good idea!

Thank you for watching Korean Cuisine~

    Have a great day~ ^_^*

    Have a nice day ^_^*~

  • I think it's easier to use the raw mochi dough to make the cakes, then steam them.

  • Thanks for the video, you made the job much easier to follow. Now even I want to try it. :)

  • HI~

Thank you for watching Korean Cuisine~

  • Hi~

You have to make it when dough is hot, when it cools down and it gets hard.

    Have a nice day ~*_*~

  • Can you make it when it cools down a bit, or is it easier when its hot?

  • does it taste nice without any fillings?

  • Hello to the people watching this! I have tried making this and enjoyed it very much, but I recomend dipping the spoon or spatula you use to mix the mochi in water first so the sticky dough does not stay on the spoon. Love this recipe!

  • Hi Anna, Thanks for the great recipe. It was really simple yet very taste. My mum used to make them traditional way and your recipe is 85% closer to mum's (the texture of sticky rice....) without hassle. You must make cake very small. I can only make 6. Preparing filling in advance is such a good idea and it shapes the cake very well. Thanks. p.s. i also have mini sch-lovely dog

  • wow now the koreans are copying cooking with dog? well they've been cooking with dog for years...

  • This looks like a lot of fun to make. Do you have recipes for other fillings, like black sesame or lychee or peanut?
