  • Trish Van Eynde played this a couple of times !! Never left my memory since then !!!

  • If anyone ever dares to dislike this I will hunt them down and slay them, for they are essentially an oxygen thief.

  • Classic deepness from the legends makes even the darkest day shiny. Top post...

  • KISS kiss gently gently Yes Yes, O!

  • Rheji,

Thanks for the tremendous music over the years. I was in high school when I started hearing your records played on the radio in NYC (DJ Disciple) and out at clubs. Have always regarded you and your brother's work as a cut above. So great to hear it again at age 37.

    Peace,

    AAD

  • I have always adored this track... used to spin it when we returned from warehouse parties back in the day :) thnx

  • beautiful deep

  • One of the best DEEP house tunes ever made. i ended up buying it on Republic and Nugroove back in 1990! You should also check New York Hous'n Authority LP on SBK Recods. Fantastic!

  • beautiful sublime track

  • Rheji you're the man!

  • Thank you people! I tried to make a beautiful song and I'm glad you got it!

    -Rheji

  • @rheji2007 I love you and this record!! Wish u could check out a few vids I did with "unidentified" house tracks from back in the days like this one.. one of em is mixed with this. I think it was Tony Humphries spinning! Those sure were the days, I wish I could go back in time!

  • Uplifting and spiritual. Love the deepness and simplicity of this track.

  • stupenda!!!

  • wot a fucking class tune ah man take me back when youv e had a hard hot day at work would place this on the decks and chill .aving a beer in honour of this track.killaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa .yes yes

  • esto me encanta!

  • dope congrete ! waaaaaaaa :)

  • does anyone know if this is out for download or has been repressed

  • Depends where you're at but here in London you might find a copy (still years old) in second hand/record exchange shops. Can't remember the label but it was a sort of blue and green striped cover and it was a definite rerelease at the time. Check on the bay otherwise, you never know.

  • Found it on vvvvvv,busstop-records,co,uk

    (vinyl) search for rheji burrell

  • Yeah made a mistake with '

Lovelounge909' 's comment which is to the point! Wanted to give it the thumbs up and stupid tracker pad I pressed down. Sorry dude. Just revisiting this great track and wanted to say LL909's comment is spot on. I can remember buying this and listening in wonder all night long. What's the first thing I did in the morning? Straight to the decks, sleepy eyed, hear that beginning again, bliss...

  • I love this tune so much -

this is getting played at my funeral.

  • Thank God it's in stereo!

  • TUNE!

  • what a fly tune!

  • Quality track. I remember my friend coming round and wacking it decks when he purchased it. He was well chuffed (happy!)

  • FANTASTIC!

  • Fact:The best Nu Groove Records release ever! Truly sublime, deep House from the heart.I defy you to find better.

Rhejji Burrell is to New York House what Larry Heard is to Chicago House.

I think I cried when Nu Groove Records folded! Just don't tell anyone I told you that :) ;) LOL

  • Ok, this is totally subjective and this is an AMAZING record, but my favourite Nugroobe is Keith, Kat and Blondie (LB Bad), just because it is deep, amazing, quirky and original. A gobsmacking record (as is this really)

  • Good call! The Keith, Kat & Blondie tune by L.B. Bad would certainly be in my all-time Nu Groove Records top 5.

  • rheji burrell at his finest

  • only the realest of the real know of this one!

the coldest bassline paired with the warmest keys...

among the deepest (and most romantic) house tracks ever produced!

almost 19 years later and I still love this just as always.

    - makes one want to kiss (gently)...

  • I remember picking this up here in Ipswich Town, here in England, when it first came out. I was so happy when I got this Home at the time. Ipswich Town(England) was as town that loved Jungle(Drum and Bass music) heavily at the time. But there was a heavy following for this and the Normal House and Garage sounds. Majority of us was buying tunes like this from New York and Chicago. Then Kerri Chandler, Smack Productions ans Blaze came on the scene from New Jersey, Usa. Great times for House heads

  • I nearly wore this track out! I live in the UK and this conjures up great imagery of NY Subway and that a.m. feelin'. Love it to bits. I've just joined and hope to put up some similar beautiful tracks. Nice one!

  • niiiiice

  • I'm getting my scuba gear on, this is deep! :)

  • Next to Three Generations "Get it OFf" by Kerri Chandler (Side B) Of Super lover on Atlantic Records, this is my other favorite daybreak groove. The sound freezes your blood as soon as it comes on.

  • You are absolutley right man.I was thinking about this track just a few minutes ago.God knows why it came into my mind all of a sudden I just had to hear it ASAP.(that funky DX sub-bass basslines, smooz 808 groove etc). This is one of the classic electro that has got this unexplanable magic like LarryHeard CanYouFeelIt(Amnesia album version ).Thanx to andreasus4thdj.

  • Do you remember Code 6, on NU Groove records? There was a track on there called "Forgotten Moments"... very deep as well.

  • Brownstone Express!!! One of my favorite deep house tracks of all time!

  • Tuune. classic from Rheji! I wish it was 1990 again.

  • classic tune ..in the box

  • Yes! Brownstone Express!

    Thanks a lot for posting!

  • @RealFreshBlog OMG! Thanx for naming which track this is. I've just been going by the title forever! I want this on wax but the asking price is fierce!

  • Thanks, great tune.

    Chicago elements with NY flavour.
