dude i hope u dont.....anyway this thing uses osc so u would probably have to make a program in max that allows it to work (not easy) once u do that u should be ok unless someone has something on the net
@lucky7monkey that would be a waste, but yes it's possible.
I don't think FL studio supports OSC, however you could convert the OSC into midi in Max/Msp and map the buttons to whatever you want in FL, you could also group some buttons and add special stuff in max to use the monome with FL.
true. I suppose you could modify it to be bus-powered and then get one of those Y cables, where you must use 2 usb ports to drive one device. But if you plug it in without the adapter, you would get an over-current warning from the computer.
It absolutely can. I have a Hercules RMX controller connected to my MacBook Pro that not only has a bunch of LEDs, but it also has an integrated sound card it has to power as well.
SONOVA BI%@^!!!!! Monome at makerfaire!?!? i would've killed someone to see that....

USB Cant really supply enough current within its official spec to power that many LEDs, let alone the circuit itself.
some hubs can provide more current but it is not standard spec.
