  • I miss these times.... :(

  • @zeroair4 Anything in particular?

  • Cool! I like club mario! Thanx 4 posting!

  • Jees...

could this get any more lame?

  • @fslayer1290 You betcha. After this show went off the air, Nintendo and DiC packaged all of the cartoons together for syndication and had a really lame-o theme song based on the Captain N theme song. Also, all Captain N episodes were shrunk down to 10 minutes.

  • 1:29 Tommy Treehugger gets REJECTED ON THE PROPS ohhhh

  • @cancoms If you go to NintendoWizard22's YouTube vids, I think he has the episode with Yomegaman, and Treehugger whacks himself in the nutz!

  • i used to come home to these after school

    where r these guys now

  • I just realized something. These idiots are video pirates!

Reminds me of the 1987 Max Headroom Incident now. But this is scarier.

  • @OneWayProduct Wikipedia has an article about it. Look up Max Headroom Broadcast Intrusion.

  • @coffee4binky I know, but I still say this is scarier!

Did I mention I live in Chicago and remember it first hand?

  • @OneWayProduct Impressive. While it was scary (I watched a few YouTube clips about it), and I can understand why, you, sir, witnessed history that has yet to be repeated. It's pretty easy, today, to intercept a digital signal from space or terra antennas, but, even though I could do it (without Satellite Surfing, mind you), I won't write how. Let's say I've done some weird stuff recently, and quickly shut the equipment off when it worked. Still, both aren't as scary as, "This is a test!" DOOOOOO

  • This was the worst thing to ever happen to 'The Super Mario Super Show'! Tommy Treehugger, and Co-MC were the precursors to Squirrel, and Doyel from 'Bio-Dome', and just as annoyingly bad! I know The Nostalgia Critic already reviewed 'The Super Mario Super Show', but he really needs to trash 'Club Mario' with Linkara as '90's Kid' (DUUUUUUUUUUDE!)

  • @Launchpad05 Tell him to trash away, as long as my YouTube screen name is used.

I guess I'll share my personal HATE and now LOVE of this terrible era of Nintendo:

If I were Nintendo, back in 1991, when this airing, I'd play up the Super Famicom's pending USA release like no tomorrow. None of that is here. In fact, game clips are totally rare.

The only reason I love the show today is I preserved something that's been erased and denied.

The reasons I hate the show would get me censored.

  • Thank you so much for posting these!

  • are they canadian?

  • @pippigladstone Who? The Koopas or the Club Marioheads? The show was produced in California.

  • @coffee4binky oh. cool. well i thought hosts seemed canadian. lots of kids shows in 1990 were canadian.

  • @pippigladstone the actors could've come from Canada, as that is normal, but this episode they go outside and the studio is located somewhere in the San Fernando Valley

  • @pippigladstone That seemed par for the course. Anime, too.

  • I was going through some old Betamax tapes and found a few CM eps. weird, how I had never heard of this until a few months ago and then I found 3 eps on tape. must be a repressed memory or something :D

  • Archive the tapes onto DVD, then make a 3 copies of the DVD copy for the safest backup. Also, if you have the fiscal ability, hire a professional service to do the transfer as well.

  • @coffee4binky as irony would have it, the episodes I found were:

The trojan koopa ( I had the first version somewhere, but can't find it)

    Koopas are coming

    Ten koopmandments.

    Sting for a stinger

Ironic how the same ones are on YT already. they're in good condition, so it's not like toadfanatics SMBSS VHS rips, but the sound quality is in mono.

  • The whole series was recorded in mono. If you look at the credits, your don't see any stereo format or anything like that. When a show in America is made it has to list, by union rules, what sound encoding is used if it's used.

  • Anyone still remember when inlines were the Sh*t? I do.

  • You mean rollerblades?

  • Comment removed

  • Remember this like it was yesterday. First time I ever saw in-line skates.

  • Oh, you mean rollerblades? HAHAHA!

I used to have a few pairs of those overpriced skates. Strangely, I can't rollerskate.

  • @coffee4binky yeah, for some reason, this reeks of both the late 90's and the early 90's at the same time. Hard to believe that it'll be 2010 in less then 8 hours.

  • And that means 20 years have passed since this travesty was filmed!

  • @coffee4binky i wouldn't call it a travesty. I'd call it 0_o.

  • Oh man thanks for posting this anyway! I was at the right (wrong?) age where I thought this was OOWSUM. I actually remember this, the skateboarding over the car.

When you fell, something, brush past your leg - that's a FERN. That's a FERN.

  • Dr. Knowitall was correct in this episode as well.

  • YouTube/Google user "SgtThom" has decided to go around on my videos with him and his "friends" and knock down all user ratings to half a star. I recommend blocking YouTube/Google user "SgtThom" to protect yourself as a fellow YouTube/Google user.

  • Where can I buy this neon bright wardrobe?

  • Well, a thrift store I'll bet.

And somewhere in downtown Vegas, there's an "L.A." clothesing store that sells such attire.

  • Ever get the feeling that the hosts are smoking pot while doing the show?

  • It was filmed in CA, though from the outdoorness of this episode, I think it was filmed in the Valley.

    And . . .

Or course they're on pot! No sane person would do this!

  • To support my notion:Try zooming in on the tape, and see if the eyes appear red. Also, to support my theory even more, Pot users often appear to be hysterical (cough*bullsh%t*cough) and talk rapidly and loudly.Actually, they are doing marijuana! Holy Crap!

  • Of course they are.

Don't you know who they are? They're the bastard sons of Dave and Jerry from Code Monkeys! Or it Co MC's case, Todd is his father (see the Michael Jackson Code Monkeys episode for the joke there).

  • Sorry if I sound like an idiot, but I don't think I have ever heard of Code Monkeys!

  • Is that Andy Heyward's car?

  • Officially I don't know, but consider Mike Rawlins was a straving actor at the time, I think it is. Even today, Rawlins can't import an Alfa Romeo.

  • To Mike Rawlins, no hard feelings, dude. Where are you, if you're reading these comments?

  • Can You Upload The Koopas Are Coming! The Koopas Are Coming! Thanks!

  • Cartoon is on the collections from Shout! Factory for the regular Super Show, as Nintendo still owns the copyrights and make avail the episodes thereof. I'm only posting what isn't arounf anymore.

  • And other users have the episode up on YT.

  • I also used to own the same shirt "The Band" is wearing under his vest, and also had a pair Rollerblade Rollerblades during this time in history.

  • cool man i have also one episode online on my youtube channel thanks dude for the upload ^_^

  • You bet. More to come. Please, all be patient, as I'm on AOL dial-up, and I'm uploading these.

  • I don't know why, but I LOVED this intro song from the Mario bros show the best.....'so grab your board hold on to your HAT!!'

  • More's coming if my dial-up agrees with me!
