Awesome song by an incredible band. This brings back memories I would like to forget, but that will never happen. 20 years ago, I was in love with my best friend’s wife, and I am still not over her. I think about her almost every day, and I cannot get over what I did to my best friend.
I partied with them in Bellingham, Washington late winter of '69 just after Golden Grass came out. They got into town early for a gig at Western Washington University and stayed at our house where the entertainment director/kid lived. Warren showed me the chords to "Let's Live for Today". Loved all their songs.
Rest in Peace, ROb.. I was in HS when I was listening to your music. it's as good now , as it was then.. timeless lyrics and well written music.. :) I know the legacy of the Grassroots goes on...
@Flex52able He died from a fall he took in his home, he was in a coma for about a month and sustained 2 strokes during that time, he was 67. He passed on July 11, 2011. I miss him so much, loved his voice and of course he was so handsome!!!
I just wish some really great Rock 'n' Roll band (and not hip-hop or rap or one of these awful disco sounding artist) would remake this tune -- if I was in a band I would do so -- and make a great promotional video for it where they have the guy go running around in a monastery trying to corrupt a nun! LMAO! That's what I've always picture for a video for this tune ever since I was 4 years old back in '68 and this tune was a hit.
THIS is the Rob Grill I fell in love with all those years ago. He couldn't be more gorgeous! Such a sweet man...and that smile! ~~I miss you Rob...always in my heart.
LOVE this song. Too bad "best quality" is a lie

@LousFool He was dreamy. Only saw him in person once in'86, but he was still hot then too, and still a great voice.

The sound of your footsteps
Telling me that you're near
Your soft gentle motion, baby
Brings out the need in me that no-one can hear, except
