  • GREAt SONG ! TRUE STORY

  • good job with the translation

  • This might be late but I wanted to reiterate what @amoraodio said: the lyrics are clearly "pedi" and not "perdi". Thus, your translation on the part is wrong. It's not "that I lost" but rather "that I asked (for)". Other then that, great job--translating can be difficult.

  • @Musme I already explained this before. If you look up the lyrics, it says Perdi in the majority of the sites. And he clearly pronounces the "R" when he says the word. I don't want to argue with anyone, but I believe my translation is correct and I'm pretty confident in my manipulation of both the English and Spanish language since I constantly translate poetry so let's just drop the topic. Not to mention, the song in a poetic holds much more significance when it says "that I lost".

  • @Musme Because it lets the listener understand that this relationship is over on top of the fact that the relationship is untruthful. The song in a poetic sense*

  • Oh and thanks for the translation! :D i was looking all over for it!

  • it sounds so nice ^-^

  • i looveh thiss soonqq

    <3

  • I wish i knew Spanish, so I could get the full effect of this song..

    Really good song

  • Hello! I found it very good your lyrics but there is a part that says: "No eres la persona que pense, que creí, que perdí" Actually says: "Que pedí" I mean,is I asked, not "that I lost". Taking this small error in the letter in Spanish everything is perfect.

    Kisses from Argentina.

    Maru

  • @amoraodio Actually now I see what you're saying. I don't think so. When you listen to the song he clearly pronounces en "R" in the word "perdi" and if you look up the lyrics on google, all of them will say "perdi" :/

  • @KakashiHatake2121 Considering I was born and live in a country where Spanish is spoken everyday language as I can tell you that the song says, "No eres la persona que pensé, que creí, que pedí" You have to see the context of the sentence, he is saying that she was not the person who requested and was disappointed by it.

With this I am not belittling your translation as it is very good.

    Maru

  • @amoraodio Considering that I was also born and raised in a Spanish speaking country, winning 1st and 2nd place in many grammatical and poetry contests in Spanish language, there is nothing wrong with the context of the sentence, which is not really a sentence but a verse. "That I lost" makes much more sense than "what I asked for". However, this is just my poetic opinion. Going by to facts, there is definitely an "r" being pronounced. I have already listened and re-listened over again.

  • @KakashiHatake2121 If you say that's what you hear, well, I just wanted to tell you what I heard and also in my opinion is better "Que pedí" but is your video.

  • @KakashiHatake2121 I wasn't born in a Spanish speaking country but i know the language since i was a little girl and i think you are a Great translater.. People don't appreciate your talent.. In my opinion i love your music video!

  • <3 Now that I understand this song, I love it even more!

    Thanks for the translation :)

  • @sweetchiikk NO PROBLEM! :D

  • i luvs this song so much it makes me cry some -times

    ^_^

  • And I just found another line you did right that at least one other producer did totally wrong ( en mi no queda espacio . . .) Another really strange coincidence is that my real first and last names begin with the same letters as do yours -- Karen Hat______. FYI -- I'm singing this song in the semi-finals of a Latino Karaoke contest tonight. Wish me luck! Ms. Madison, one of your fans!

  • @MsMadisonMichaels hm thanks.

  • Thank you for translating this song. I'm learning Spanish by singing Karaoke, and I understand some but not enough -- and the Latinos often don't speak English well enough to translate accurately -- and it's hard to hear in a bar -- and it becomes a chore. You are, by the way, one of the few who hear the "que" hoy estoy mejor. Good work! Ms. Madison Michaels

  • This song is so sad :( but I love listening to it
