This might be late but I wanted to reiterate what @amoraodio said: the lyrics are clearly "pedi" and not "perdi". Thus, your translation on the part is wrong. It's not "that I lost" but rather "that I asked (for)". Other then that, great job--translating can be difficult.
@Musme I already explained this before. If you look up the lyrics, it says Perdi in the majority of the sites. And he clearly pronounces the "R" when he says the word. I don't want to argue with anyone, but I believe my translation is correct and I'm pretty confident in my manipulation of both the English and Spanish language since I constantly translate poetry so let's just drop the topic. Not to mention, the song in a poetic holds much more significance when it says "that I lost".
