im being raised a JW and im getting out as soon as i can ! it hates on everyone and is just mostly bs stuff, it makes me question if there is a god honestly
I can't tell you how much your situation troubles me. You had no say in being raised in a religious cult. No doubt there will be scars for years to come. However there is hope in the one who said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matt. 11:28. Seek Him with your heart and He will reveal Himself to you.
It is sick how these JW's will arrogantly state with a slanderous tone that men make mistakes spiritually including their organization leaders but then they come to my house and give me magazines that blast other religions for the same exact thing and condemn them to hell. And then they are commenting on this video and even though this man is stating nothing but facts they twist the truth to appease themselves and religious leaders.
It's funny how jw allow lies from the wt society without asking any questions....they claim to be Jehovah's spirit (watch tower society) but how can God be wrong ? They need to ask questions and maybe then they would realize the REAL TRUTH which is JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS ! And wants you to come to know him!
Praise the Lord, This is great. Your reward is in heaven. There is like a religious and controling spirit over this organisation. Its sad but I always rejoice when one person comes out of the watchtower. People need to know the truth :) So inspiring :)
First of all if Abraham, Issac and Jacob, knocked on Rutherford's door in 1925, he would NOT have opened the door. He would have called the P.O.L.I.C.E.
@xsamitt Yes, the loyal Watchtowerites, believing that they are proving themselves loyal to God by proving loyal to the Tower, walk by a man who is not lying at all.
For those who truly love Almighty God, & for those who truly love TRUTH, it seems logical that at least ONE of these would ask for evidence; that ONE would consider that this man may have a reason to say what he is saying...
Truth is truth. Jehovah is a God of truth. His Word does not change. The WTBS has changed many times...
wow look at all of those idiots they guy is telling the truth, in the bible says look out for false profits and look 4times they had false profits how much more do they need to see? i say let them follow the watchtower(MEN) and they will be the ones burning in hell i say hahahahaha good they deserve it
we did not predict when the end was coming, and btw wat about the world predictions, first when the 2000 started, second when 2010 stared and now there doing it again with 2012 do you not see anything wrong with that?
@mrbarthoss1 I have often thought that one who claims to represent Jehovah God should actually care enough to check out every teaching of the Watchtower against God's own Holy Word, the Bible. Didn't Paul praise the Beroeans at Acts 17:11 for doing this?
"...for they received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, CAREFULLY EXAMINING THE SCRIPTURES DAILY AS TO WHETHER THESE THINGS WERE SO." NWT
If only JWs were willing to follow this example instead of blindly following an organization.
you do realize that going to their conventions is never going to do anything. They'll be in large groups with their elders present and everyone will look at you like your spawn of satan
@knowfather1 I'm not clear on what your point is, but I believe in God's Word of truth as being that of the Holy Bible, & I believe what it says, & I believe in God's Plan of Salvation which is clearly taught in the scriptures as being in His Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ.
It isn't about what religion you choose to be in, but whether you're willing to check out its teachings according to God's Word (Acts 17:11) & whether you care to "make sure of all things" or "prove all things" (1Thess 5:21).
@knowfather1 You admit your organization was "sitting in darkness," even though they had God's Word to guide them? So how do you continue to believe that "now" you are in the "light" when the WTBS claimed to have the "light of truth" that LATER was shown to NOT be "truth"?? How can "the truth" keep changing over the 120 yrs of the WTBS, but still BE "The" truth?? Is not God's unchanging Word THE truth??
JWs are not really interested in "truth." They won't listen to truth; but to the WTBS!!
I was raised a JW and it has literally torn my family apart. I now want NOTHING to do with any of it. They want to talk about how demonistic other religions are, when they need to take a look at themselves. They brainwash and criticize people from other religions, yet teach to love one another as Jesus said to. There's NO WAY I would ever treat my own children the way my own parents and family have treated me. I'm DONE WITH THIS and BREAKING THE CYCLE!
Although the Watchtower is NOT God's organization and their doctrines are leading people away from God and His true plan of salvation, never the less there is truth. God has revealed Himself in creation and His Word. I would encourage you to seek God apart from the distortions of the Watchtower by reading a non-JW Bible on your own. Please start with the gospel of John, which tells of the God-man Jesus who died for the sins of His people. I will pray for you.
Thank you... I appreciate that... And I agree with everything you're saying... I'm thankful that I'm not the only person out there who feels this way. This religion has made me literally "burned out" on God and religion. Because of this religion, I have THE MOST dysfunctional family. And I will not treat my children, much less ANYONE else, the way that I've been done. That, to me, tells me that this is not a christian organization. Thanks for your kind words...
@jerrybenson MOSES was followed by the Israelites. They thought the promised land was just around the corner. God takes time to carry out his purpose. When MOSES delayed up in the mountain, the people became impatient and went to worshipping baal-Exodus chapter 32. So is MOSES a false prophet because the promised land didn't come right away?THINK about this for real. YOU have to remember that MEN do make mistakes...we are born in SIN=Romans 5:12.We are true disciples on earth today=Matthew 24:14
Give me the exact verse that is a false prophecy. True prophets will never give false prophecies. If they fail the test of a true prophet in Deut. 13 (give false prohecies) they were to be rejected. This is why God has given us tests for true prophets. Witness must believe these false prophecies (or be disfellowshipped), until told they made a mistake. Every cult and false religion could use the same excuse. There would be no way to tell who had truth.
@jensastre I can personally attest to the validity of your statement. It has destroyed my family. I think they hate you even more if you become a Christian, which makes you, now to them, in league with Satan.
Any organization that has the power to program people so thoroughly that they will not even consider scriptures that you can show them in their own Bible, & that can turn their "love" into disgust and hate without a backward glance in the name of "God" is truly sick.
@jensastre I know it is painful to realize, but Jehovah's Witnesses are imperfect, sinful humans just like everyone else=Romans 5:12,"...through one man sin entered into the world..." So we need to remember that and forgive. We all make mistakes... JW's really are following Jesus and are comleting his commission to preach the good news of God's kingdom to the whole world!! Jesus started this work, and commands his disciples to complete it=Matthew 4:17, 5:5,6:9,10, chapter 10, 24:14, 28:19,20.
@eternityandforever - No, it is not painful at all to realize that EVERYONE on earth is imperfect. Tell me something I don't know, please! Regarding your comment: Don't you think that good is being done by a multitude and variety of faiths/organizations, not just JW's?! I am sorry but I cannot agree with your statement fully... I went through Hurricane Rita 5 years ago and THANK GOD there were TONS of churches in our area helping and loving their neighbors... just like Jesus said to do...
Because of JW's, I feel like they have ruined my chances to even have a place in my heart for religion... It's sad... And yes, my family is still torn apart... It is a vicious cycle that repeats itself.
@Darrook sure go ahead and try to make this guy seem like he is drunk. He seemed to make clear sense to me. Why not attack his message instead of him. I think it is because you really can't.
so what if the day of Armageddon hasn't come yet, the bible says that no one knows but the father Jehovah of when the day of Armageddon will be here, so just because the day hasn't come yet doesn't mean it won't. btw i dare any of you to go to you're own church and ask you're preacher a deep biblical question... and ya know what... he probably won't give you an answer! or just say something stupid like, hey you shouldn't question your Father!
Try doing something like this at any other religous place of worship,i bet their will be a fist fight or some kind of rage!JW's are kind and peacefull,go pray for american troops to go kill others and return safe like all the other religions do...
@BananaJSSI This is so true, but for one to really "see" the Watchtower for what it really is, one must not be under the heavy subliminal programming that they are routinely subjected to; for if one were to "deprogram," that one might become very uncomfortable...even disoriented, or feel "unbalanced"...& so feel the need to run back, like an addict that needs their "fix."
JWs need much love & prayer, for it is a crime how the Watchtower has them so deceived & believing they must obey, or else.
I really hope u keep this up....i know that even though they JW's are passing you by (mostly out of fear of reproof from fellow Jw's), there is at LEAST ONE person who went home and research 1925 and had their eyes opened!!
Any person who truly loves "God" (Jehovah) will seek to please him, and despite what the watchtower says, they will "test" what they are taught. I wish there were more people like you.
The organization is false and I feel sorry for those who turn a blind eye to doubts
If the NWT was a literal translation like they claim, then Jn. 8:58 would not be rendered "I HAVE BEEN", but instead "I AM" like the Greek and many reputable translations read! But if that was done, then Jn. 8:58 would be too closely associated with Exo. 3:14, which the WS doesn't want. (In Exo. 3:14, God identifies Himself as I AM.)
138 years and THE WATCHTOWER never once hit the target on any of their speculations / calculations / prophecies.
@bullfrog11758 matthew 24:24-28 does, because there would be those who would say jesus would come secretly in hidden areas like "the wilderness" and "the inner chamber" which fits the "invisable" return secret to all but jw's or at that time the bible students. u said it right the DB needs more understanding and clarity so when they have no clarity on an issue should u as a jw have to believe everything that say? even if it is not inline with the bible. would u have believed in 1975 or the bible
Jerry, so in your rational thinking, do you believe there is another organization out there that symbolizes the purest worship of Jehovah God? An organization that tries (note), tries to adhere and understand the Holy Inspired Word of God? Name one? Or one that at least tries? The Prophet Daniel did not even understand what all he was writing in his book knowing full well he would be critized for it but even then he wrote what God inspired him to write waiting patiently.
Ummm....EVERY. LAST. ONE. OF. THEM. You're delusional if you believe otherwise. Your cult isn't unique in the least.
It's also astonishingly despicable that your best argument is literally "Well, no other religion is really trying...so we must be right". Grow up and get yourself one of these: A Clue.

@witnesstothetruth Oh, if only JWs could get the concept of an ORGANIZATION out of their head!!!
The WTBS has these innocent & precious people so programmed to believe that God has to have an organization on earth so that they can then point to themselves as the religion to follow, when Jesus clearly said that we are to follow HIM.
Why oh why will they not even look at John 8: 12, 31-32? or read the entire book of John & Galatians & Ephesians & 1, 2, 3rd John?? If only they would READ it...
@1955annemarie Did Jehovah God ever point anyone to a future organization? No. He pointed man to His Son, Jesus. Did Jesus or any of His apostles ever say that there would be an organization that would come & explain what God's Word "really meant"? & that those teachings would change...over & over again?
Did Jesus EVER point us to any religion, future or otherwise? No. But time & time again we are pointed to Jesus; that we are to follow Him. John 8:31-32; John 14:6; Acts 1:8; Matt. 11:28-30
@witnesstothetruth God doesn't have an organisation and He doesn't need one!He is guiding anyone who believes that Jesus died for him/her and accepts Jesus as his/her savior only through His Holly Spirit and His Word, the Bible.Jesus is the only way to God,nothing else!May god open your eyes! Please don't compare Daniel with the Watchtower!!!DANIEL IN THE BIBLE IS CALLED GOD'S PROPHET,AND THE BIBLE IS GOD' WORD AND GOD CAN NOT LIE,BUT THE WATCHTOWER DOES!
also while yes the apostles were imperfect and made mistakes in their own personal thinking, they never taught these things to people and then if they refused to believe them disfellowship them from the congregation. remember jesus said u do not know when ur Lord is coming. no one can know if they did know as jesus said then the theif would not have broken in and blundered his goods.(matthew 24:42 ,Luke 12:35-40)
@bullfrog11758 while yes the apostle did think it was going to be established jesus said it doesnt belong to u to know times and seasons the father has left in his own jurisdiction.(Acts 1:7) if the apostles didnt have the right to get to know these things does it mean the GB can? jesus warned his disciples to keep on the watch, why? because u do not know on what day your Lord is coming. so if the disciples didnt know, how does the GB?
@knowfather1 Russell taught that the end times started in 1799, with 1874 being the return of Christ, and 1914 would be te furthist limit to the rule of imperfect man, and the full establishment of Gods Kingdom. When 1914 came and went he changed the date to 1915. He then died, and Rutherford produced a new date 1925 ! This mans ministory is probably useless, but actually what he says about the wtbts is correct !
Why does Jehovah God give us tests for a prophet if we will simply make excuses why that prophet is permitted to fail the test? How could you be anywhere near the light 1925? You were expected to believe and teach that the faithful of old would be resurrected and 1925 would mark the end? Today, those witnesses who discover this embarrasing false prophecy, (warned of in Deut. 18), simply shrug it off with the light gets brighter and brighter.
I would like to see you do this exact same thing infront of a baptist or catholic church... this is a convention of Jehovahs witnesses were thousands attend and not one single act of anger or violence was shown towards you.... i would like to see you go to another religion and do this were there will be less then 100 attending and see what happens to you then.

Believe what you want. But since Jehovah's witnesses are the only religion proclaiming gods name (as Jesus said "Let you name be sanctified"), hence the whole theme of the bible, I believe many people find the truths JW's teach out ways the expections of imperfect men. And do you realize your fulfiling a prophecy here? We expect the world to hate us. So thank you, but EVERYBODY will be judged by Jehovah Himself.
How are you? I am a born again Christian who takes 1 Thes 5:21 seriously (KJV renders it "Test all things" ) because if you're right, I want to be a JW. If you're wrong, however, and I'M right, I'm sure you would want to be with me.
That said, I am not here to argue points (doesn't do any good), just ask questions.
Based on Isa 44:6, Rev 1:8, 21:6-7, and 22:13, are the names First and Last, Beginning and End, and Alpha and Omega exclusive to Jehovah God?
@Andy111891 Jesus said that people would hate HIS followers on account of HIS name, not Jehovah's name, or on account of following the Watchtower. Jesus never referred to Jehovah as "Jehovah," but as"my FATHER", & as "your FATHER," & as "our FATHER."
Doing a good & noble thing does not negate all the lies & control the Watchtower holds over its people, exacting absolute obedience &loyalty to the ORGANIZATION...always to the organization. Is THIS what Jesus died to give us?? John 8:12, 31-32
1925 Is no secret, Read the book Published by Jehovah's Witnesses, titled "Jehovah's Witnesses Proclaimers of Gods Kingom" Jehovah's Witnesses Humbly admit they had high expections for 1925, some were stumbled by this. For others it was a test of faith. This man should be informed of what everybody already knows.
You are right in that it was a "test" which of course the Watchtower failed. Because it happened over 80 years ago, many JWs I've spoken with have no idea of this false prophecy. It still only takes one false prophecy to make a false prophet. Sadly, most witnesses will follow the organization regardless of false prophecies or false doctrines.
@Andy111891 Are you KIDDING?? Rutherford was preaching for five years that Armageddon was coming in 1925!! It was as big & as assured a "true prophecy" as the 1975 Armageddon Prophecy!! And those that recognized that they'd been lied to left & were labeled as "evil slaves," & the newer ones who stayed believed the new lies told to them; believed the excuses the WTBS told to them, & they continue to scam innocent people every day; JWs faithfully serving their beloved organization, every day...
@1955annemarie We'll just leave this in Jehovahs hands shortly he will interfere with mankinds affairs and all will know that he is Jehovah and who is true follwers are.
@Andy111891 And would you here be arrogantly referring to those in "good standing" with the Watchtower Organization?? Is that why you & so many others so faithfully hang on, no matter how much control they exercise over your life, your job, your friends, your style of hair & dress, what movies you can watch, how you spend your time, what you believe, how you think, even how you FEEL, & even if they tell you your own parent or child is WICKED & EVIL because they KNOW the truth of the Watchtower?
@1955annemarie I'm not so sure why you are so venomous and sound so unhappy. If your going to turn against what you conisder the Watchtower Organization fine, but dont be like satan asnd try and get others to turn away also.
I'm sorry, Andy!! I do get frustrated sometimes!! It's really hard to know what you know about an organization & to know the damage they cause & to not get frustrated with those who defend it; believing whatever that organization tells them; believing that everyone outside of that organization just "doesn't get it"; putting down ex-members as if they couldn't possibly know what they're talking about, while not even being willing to look at the evidence.
@1955annemarie We'll just leave this in Jehovahs hands shortly he will interfere with mankinds affairs and all will know that he is Jehovah and who his true follwers are.
@Andy111891Using the Watchtower's own "History Book" as a source of reliable information about their past seems about as ridiculous as the German's relying on a book written by the SS & approved by Hitler as reliable source to with which to learn the true facts of the history of the Party!!
If you have read Orwell's "1984," you may recall how those in authority would rewrite their own history, & that the people would be required to accept it all as FACT. Anyone who knew better was marked...
Why do people hate on / persecute JWs? For the same reason that they (religious leaders) hated / persecuted Jesus.Because he spoke the 'TRUTH.' And they could not stand the truth. They even had the Roman Authority do their 'dirty work' for them, despite the fact that King Herod could "find no fault with the man." - read John 15:17-27 (King James)
@panjumbie2 Those who persecuted Jesus, & who screamed for His death, were GOD'S OWN PEOPLE; like "Jehovah's Witnesses" of today, they belonged to "God's" organization, but denied Jesus when He came to lead them OUT of that "organization" to follow Him, as was according to God's plan.
We should not confuse Christians with those who proclaim to be "Christian," but who clearly show that they prefer to follow an organization rather than Christ; showing hate toward Christians, rather than love...
This man does not tell the full truth. If he read the full article he would understand that they NEVER claimed to be a prophet in the same sense as the prophets from the Bible, but just people that spoke of prophecy ALREADY written. NOTHING New was prophesied.
It's one man trying to save them from one ludicrous way of thinking to another. Amazing how well programmed the Witnesses are. Like if this person were no one...like robots they pass by. Insane to know so many of us were that brainwashed.
jerry, they are not inspired prophets. I can call myself a prophet on the basis that i prophesy about biblical truth concerning the past, present, and future. After all, I cannot be incorrect on everything I say or do. But that does not make me infallible. I make mistakes often when attempting to explain something in which I overlooked an important aspect of the bible. But needed to make corrections in my thinking. this is true of every man on the planet. no one knows everything. we must accept
why don't you just pummel the little ones as they pass and burn their NWT's? I would expect that from him more than I would simply holding up an old watchtower and trying to debate about a word that appears on it. I'm sure once they get inside they can finally find someone that takes what they do seriously instead of making a mockery of the written word.
I think you would be better served to find people that are totally ignorant of your design. Instead of making a mockery of yourself by putting on such a showy display of stupidity. The man is a complete joke and is only trying to draw attention to himself by using the word of God as his tool. This is wrong on every level.
Sadly, as is in most of the cults, followers prefer NOT to THINK carefully. Instead, they simply follow and accept any and all that their leaders tell them. When critical evidence is presented to them, they usually respond as you with name calling.
I am puzzled though. Why do you refer to yourself as "analitical" when you haven't analyzed anything I said. A very poor defense indeed.
@jerrybenson - not so in my case. I spent 20+ years of careful investigation about doctrine and biblical truths. I don't accept everything I hear. I myself have made mistakes when giving a talk at the hall and elders to it to. There's really nothing worthy of analyzing in this video. It's shallow and quite worthless. I look deep into the Word of God and never take anything at face value. Jehovah gave us the ability to do this. I'm actually being quite civil today.
If only the witnesses could see themselves on camera...how unloving they are acting toward someone else who is preaching...they are no different than the world.
@inspirediam I'll bet you slam the door in their face (and curse) when they try to give you a Watchtower. Pot meet kettle. lol. Ignoring complete idiots is better than bringing them under abusive terms like you do. Even Jesus did not use abusive terms to speaking to the devil, but said, "May Jehovah rebuke you."
@inspirediam - don't hate the person. hate the act. people disagree with me all the time. I don't have hatred for anyone, just pity. But there comes a time when really ridiculous points of view need to be addressed a little harsher than others. I was always told that it's the first thing you say that will determine whether the person decides to listen and respond to what you say next. Most videos of that nature have people that take forever to get to the point. And I give them about 5/10 secs
Good work Jerry! You speak so clearly and don't come across as angry but someone who genuinely cares for the lost and believes the truth of the Gospel.
All that being said, you handled yourself very well. Your presentation was solid and they would have a hard time arguing with you. But if they stopped to talk to you everyone else would shun them...
Also, Witnesses do not recognize the seriousness of false prophecy. I never did. I viewed it as a simple mistake that they corrected eventually. Anything that they've done wrong can just fall under Proverbs 4:18.
"We said that? Well the light got brighter". They'll say it about everything. But they fail to recognize the marks of a false prophet at Deut18: 20-22.
You are telling the truth...however this is not really an effective method of preaching. Growing up I would just be angry at the "apostates" that were "spouting lies". Now I know the truth, but I also know that this is not the most effective means to reach these ones. They are on their guard during conventions. Their minds are not open to anything and anyone outside of that convention center.
If we obey God and His Word we MUST preach to them even if some say it is not effective. Sadly, modern methods say we must entice seekers by giving the lost what they want instead of what they must have.
If none responded anywhere on the planet, I would boast in Him till the rocks cried out!
BTW. Nearly 20,000 viewed last years similar video from the convention. Hundreds of comments mostly from JWs. Some were considering what we said.
@jerrybenson I can see your point. It's just now that I see that these things are true and the WT is a false prophet, I just think back to the days when people were trying to get me to see it. I refused to look at the signs, tried not to listen to them, and called them "loser apostates" to my friends.
But you are right. It is our responsibility. And if even 1 listens and responds it is all worth it. Even if one doesn't, at least your conscience is clear before the Lord.
@jerrybenson Jesus preached directly to Jehovah God's people of His day, trying to help them to see that He was there to lead them out of the "organization" in order to follow Him, but they didn't want it. They had their familiar structure, & their "standing" in their religion, & Jesus would just "upset the apple cart"; who cares that it was Jehovah God's will that man follow His son!!
Yes, Jehovah's own people rejected Jesus...oh, they "believe" in Him, but they've effectively DEMOTED Him!!
The Watchtower has the tightest grip on them. Although, you've saved one person if they go home and say to themselves "did they really predict 1925?"...and then they find out the reality for themselves.
im being raised a JW and im getting out as soon as i can ! it hates on everyone and is just mostly bs stuff, it makes me question if there is a god honestly

#### 1914 is a rusty nail that's dormant in the subconscious mind of ALL jehovah's witness...
#### REALITY: they (JWs) dare not to question 1914 and the twisted governing body of the watchtower. why? because they fear DISFELLOWSHIPING.
this is a great video.

@jensastre

@eternityandforever

Love? Not here.

also while yes the apostles were imperfect and made mistakes in their own personal thinking, they never taught these things to people and then if they refused to believe them disfellowship them from the congregation. remember jesus said u do not know when ur Lord is coming. no one can know if they did know as jesus said then the theif would not have broken in and blundered his goods.(matthew 24:42 ,Luke 12:35-40)

That said, I am not here to argue points (doesn't do any good), just ask questions.
Based on Isa 44:6, Rev 1:8, 21:6-7, and 22:13, are the names First and Last, Beginning and End, and Alpha and Omega exclusive to Jehovah God?

You are right in that it was a "test" which of course the Watchtower failed. Because it happened over 80 years ago, many JWs I've spoken with have no idea of this false prophecy. jerry, they are not inspired prophets.

Sadly, as is in most of the cults, followers prefer NOT to THINK carefully. Instead, they simply follow and accept any and all that their leaders tell them. When critical evidence is presented to them, they usually respond as you with name calling.
I am puzzled though. Why do you refer to yourself as "analitical" when you haven't analyzed anything I said. A very poor defense indeed.

@jerrybenson - not so in my case. I spent 20+ years of careful investigation about doctrine and biblical truths. I don't accept everything I hear.
