apart from the sun lashiing out with flares at the end of vdeo, oyu also see the same object leave in the same direction it came from, if i am not mistaken.
its clear, god sends his ships with uranium to keep the sun burn, and what you see here is a frighter.. and the reaction caused by the delivered uranium!
or god sends all his burned-down uranium-trash :D
no worries, I mean, Im still open that it might not be venus. Can't believe everything that we are told. That wouldn't explain all the other pics I have from SOHO of other objects all around that area.
As well, if you watch to the end of the vid, the sun actually responds to the object - and lashes out with flares. Venus I know wouldn't do that. So that makes me wonder...
"On June 8, 2004 we had the opportunity to experience a very rare celestial phenomenon. So rare, in fact, that no living person has ever observed it before, since the last transit of Venus happened over 120 years ago, in 1882. We will get another chance again, however, in 2012."
Doesn't seem to be one scheduled for today? I'm sure there's a rational explanation though...
area2000 is right. Download the MPEG's and watch. What you call lashing out with flares is just a coincidental flare with the objects passing at that time. It looks identical. Optical illusion.

I agree, it does look similar, however:
