OK...I have a stooopid question; the reverse cloak, you bought it, put it on, reversed it (which is very obvious now that ive seen you do it/hence the title!)...what is special about the reverse cloak??? Does it affect your stats?
yea...this is one of those games that you get so caught up in, you play for an hour, forget to save, do somethin' stooopid...I still curse, every time!!!
Pretty much all the sounds effects are the same for the Sega Saturn version except Alucard's Voice when he speaks and attacks, the same for the PSP. They used different voice actors for the PSP and Xbox version. In my opinion the originals were better especially Alucards and Draculas voice. The only one I was greatful that they changed was the Ferryman.
Epic battle against Alucard shape shifting demon is epic...
I felt like a Rocky song was going while I was preparing myself for that batle (wich I lost the last time). I killed the same knights over and over again and maxed my hearts and then....I KICKED HIS ASS!
I think the Long Library's Wood Carving Partitia, Olrox's Quarter's Dance of Pales, and the Inverted Castle's Lost Painting are My favorite songs in the game.... What are your favorite songs?
@chubies666 Bloody Tears (Sega Saturn version), Olrox's Quarters, Dracula's Castle, Abandoned Pit and there's something I like about Requiem of the Gods too.
What I would usually do, is save up a lot of money to buy the Diamond Plate and Joseph's Cloak, which is the best Cloak in this part of the game even better than the Royal Cloak in the reverse level, but one step beneath the Twilight Cloak. Diamond plate has the best defense of all Mail and armors, at least until you find the Walking Armor in the reverse level.
@VigorousNinja Yes certainly. The only things missing are the video cutscenes (one at the beginning and one of the crumbling castle near the end I think) and I believe they replaced the ending song with another one.
@DarkEvil87 I followed your entire guide, through to around episode 7 without saving, because I'm a douche, and what do I do? I think I put it on pause, when I don't, thus getting killed. -Sigh. This has has happened twice now. :'(
@VigorousNinja This happens to me all the time, especially in games I find not too hard. Everything goes well, so I don't take the time to save and then one mistake or two and I'm dead.
@Megamanrp You can use a spell if you know the right combination without even buying it. Just search Symphony of the Night spells on Google and the first result should be the right one.
@DarkEvil87 The most sastisfying thing is when you showed me where to find the jewel knuckles so everytime I saw one I could personally punch them in face since it's the only target. The medusa heads were toned down from previous entries though, here it takes one around 5 seconds to respawn whereas the older games they were like stormtroopers kill one and another pops instantly back in its place.
And the most important thing, you could die in previous games when Medusa Heads hit you, because they'd make your character fall in gaps. In Symphony of the Night, there's no such thing.
Oh I guess this is your first Castlevania game then. For some reason, heart is not health in this series, but energy for using subweapons. You find these subweapons in candles and you use them by pressing up and attack.
His magic moves, that's something I always wanted to include more before playing and then, when I got to it, I forgot to do them. Especially when I found the Crissaegrim and didn't need anything outside of the sword. But thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed it.

@theGDbatman8686 It's not so special, I just bought the cloak I had money for at the time, it increases my defense by 2.

@PTMDLBTSify Oh yes, certainly there are lots of them. Even Dracula quotes the Bible directly near the end.

When I went to the Master Librarian, he wasn't selling the "Magic Scroll 1". Can anyone help me with this problem?
haha0723 1 year ago
@haha0723 it teaches "dark metamorphosis"
you might already learned it if the librarian doesn't sell it to you
check your spells if its not there the combo should be...
left, left up, up, right up, right, and square or circle
1locojoko1 1 year ago
@1locojoko1 what does dark metamorphosis do
MEXiCan8890 1 year ago
@MEXiCan8890 when an enemy dies or gets hit and blood comes out alucard absorbs it so you regain health

no matter what game it is, everyone hates the meduca heads. I know I do at least.
This looks like a fun game, and I am an extreme fan of the castlevania series-I should look into it.
