It's too sad, the tears are falling like it was yesterday. Poor Modigliani and his pregnant lover. He died before anyone appreciated his paintings, and pregnant with his child, she flung herself off the roof and joined him in eternity. So beautiful, so sad. Thanks for this... my copy was destroyed in a flood. Wish I had the long version. The dub version is great elegaic music.
Just threw an 80's party at my house I was surprised how many guys threw on wigs and make up. I swear I saw at least three billy Idols walking around, felt as if I had jumped into a time machine and gone to heaven Long live New Wave
Just threw a 80's party at my house and my Dj had all the greatest songs that have been lost in time. For a few hours everything seemed perfect my girl at my side Talk Talk- Today is the day blasting in the background ughhh if only the good times lasted forever.... I wasn't born in the 80's but I will forever be a New Waver:)
Hey I love this group too!!! And I too remember "Plains Trains & Automobiles"!! I actualy rewind it over again just to hear this song!!, originally from Thanksgiving eve '87?? I think??!! Steve Martin & John Candy are awesome!!!!
@SkwiddlyDoo you are extreme lucky to experienced that since it is extreme hard to find people that like or make 80´s partys...very very odd....its all gone and forgotten.....i need you to answer me one question, please, was the party beetwen old 80´s friends or are you young and its an student pary ,i mean you and your friends that are in the college time, its an odd question but i promise i can explain myself,...
@13101988andoni Well I was born in the early 80's, so I grew up on all of this music and so did quiet a few of my closest friends. :) It was my best friends bday party, hosted by another friends - she was in control of the tunes being it was her house. I heard some Smiths, couple of old school ministry songs (revenge, halloween, etc), depeche mode, some billy idol - my kind of party :D
I found this whole album refreshing when I was a young, full of testosterone I was and many of these songs provided the beat for me to dream in ways that were uncommon for me at the time.
I just saw Planes, Trains, and Automobiles again after many years and heard this song and it sparked nothing but happy memories of this album and the upbeat music that was a staple of this band!
Yah, Planes Trains & Automobiles used this well. I liked how they used the percussionless instrumental version, too... fit pertectly. In fact, it was because of that movie that I went out and bought this album on cassette.
this is one of my very favorite groups. i have loved almost every song that they put out--very unique sound & so much talent! thanks for uploading!!! -melanie
