Ok so its not street legal...how much does this cost??? And what kind of tranny is that? Its got a lever on the shifter it just goes up and down 2 way not a H pattern. Whats the pull lever on the back end rt side? Mpg??? Silly isnt it...
OK...silly comments here by people who didn't take the time to find out what the hell they are trying to talk about !!!!! The tires that are shown in the video ARE the tires that come with the car. Everything you see in the video comes with the car. Including a 1200 HP motor...the roll cage...those tires... The car is NOT street legal and is sold as a track car only !
Where do you guys live? The car is completely street legal!! As a matter of fact show me a production made American car that is not street legal. Just put your trading cards down fellas and do some research
@MegaCockandballz LOL, this car is not even street legal. Look it up. Although i'll admit, GM or Dodge do even make anything in this department to compete with the cobra jet.
@mixedbreed1282 Yes, but don't forget the displacement difference. If Dodge offered a 318CI that pumped out 1100HP, now that WOULD be a lot to talk about. Not sure why folks only see HP and/or torque numbers instead of all the other metrics. But I say this from an engineering mindset.
@9b8 True but the cobra jet does have a blower aslo. Hell there are 4 and 6 cyl engines pumping out the same and more hp then the ford and the dodge so its just really a matter of money and parts and how much boost you want to run. I have seen plenty of high hp cars that over heat street driving, the ford is not even street legal and the dodge isn't making that power on reg pump gas either. Even the big hp turbo cars on e85 still use a alky injection kit with it.
@mixedbreed1282 Right. That is kind of my point about making that kind of HP in a smaller package. It isn't exacly straight forward. And slapping a turbo kit on a 4 banger and managing not to blow it up doesn't really accomplish much, either. As you elude, there are many variables to consider if one wants to acheive some reliability benchmark. This is why I get tired of hearing both the "no replacement for displacement" and "greddy turbo kit" crowds ignorantly mouth off.
There actually is no replacement for displacement unless you strap some type of forced induction onto your engine.

If you go to the lot and look on the sticker it will tell you that it is not legal to register...
Here is a dealer's own take on one of only 50 made they have on their lot:
