well I actually gave it a try tuning it to Standard C and I gotta tell you. My low C (6th) feels and sounds heavier... I think because of the tension following the rest of the strings being tuned lower. Nevertheless, it's an awesome tuning. Give it a try!

yeah i know it's a cool tuning!! but the problem for me is that i have a floyd rose so when i tune to C the floyd rose go deep on the guitar body :) so i have to loosen the screws up and i'm lazy to do this :)! what guitar do u have?

Hmm, its difficult to tell from this distance but essentially it does not matter, the only difference between a spider 2 and a spider 3 is that spider 3 comes with a few hundred built in presets (many of which are very good), the actual amp itself is the same. If you have trouble dialing in the right tone in amps then I recommend the spider 3. They are comparitively cheap for what you get as you can hear in these videos, it is the same amp I use in my videos too.
