click on camera settings first, then the advance tab, select exposure to 1/30 [s] gan gain to 10000 you might have to turn off real light first.
Then do what you said in this video selecting 640x480 first then knockup to 30fps then on choosing video setting select high quality video (large) that will give you 640x480 @ 30 fps. you can play with the gain if the picture is too bright.

yeah i find that real light doesn't make my videos look any good just makes things go all super slow
