Gumboots freak me out. When I was in form one the boys in form two forced us to drink uji in gumboots. Thank God, the gumboots were not full of the uji. I was tiny and so I could not finish it if the gumboot was full.

On the day of opening school, we came with chapos but they would immediately be taken away for consumption by boys in form four. During one term I never showered in school -- I only washed myself at home on the day of opening and on the day of closing school. A whole three months of stink! They called it "monolization".
