If China were to close down their exporting system the U.S. economy as well as many others would crash... I have to disagree. I'm a liberal voter, though I grew up in Georgia. And while I do agree that half of the conservatives here have almost shut themselves off from mainstream America, the other half are rather intelligent people who have chosen their political opinions for mostly thoughtful or practical reasons. Of course, religion tends to dominate southern politics, which in turn makes them somewhat socially intolerant, but otherwise . . .

And while I do agree that half of the conservatives here have almost shut themselves off from mainstream America, the other half are rather intelligent people who have chosen their political opinions for mostly thoughtful or practical reasons. Of course, religion tends to dominate southern politics, which in turn makes them somewhat socially intolerant, but otherwise . . .

There are major differences between Juche and Communism like the fact that Communism supports Atheism but in Juche, Kim il Sung is god and Kim Jong il is the son of god.

As a lib I believe in regulation of certain businesses (investment banking, oil, gambling etc.) so I want a teensy bit of socialism injected into our government. Unfortunately, as history always shows, every single attempt at forming a communist government has failed miserably and too much socialism could crush the free market. The infrastructure requires a government with enough power to oversee and fund its existence. The alternative is to let private companies control access to these things. At one time I would have agreed but I no longer see things that way. Cooperative society is better than an every-man-for-himself dystopia.
