Half-Blood Prince was favorite book. I don't like the movie overall, because it isn't a good movie period, and it's nothing like the book. But, I really don't care the H/G storyline was messed up, because I never really got it. I see how they fit together. But, the way it was written and just thrown in there just felt wrong to me. It didn't build up and wasn't tested and proven the way R/H, which is why love them so much. So yeah, I don't mind that screw up at all.

I like their relationship, it's sweet, but it's also what we all expected and it's the typical 'opposites attract' and 'The quarrel of lovers is the renewal of love' kind of relationship.. which often appears in books (of course you can't compare HP to any other book, haha.) Harry's and Ginny's relationship has something real, though. The way I see it, at least.

i was SOOO pissed at this scene, the kiss scene in the book was described so amazingly that i couldn't wait to see it on film....and then all i got was this. But if she was underage then that makes sense, but still i wish it could've been a bit longer than it was.
i heard it was because she was underage, and he was an adult, so there couldn't be a lot of lip action. but yeah, i wish it had at least been after the quidditch match, that was my favorite part in the book.

It was overdone and just really very uncomfortable to watch. I hope there are better Harry/Ginny scenes in DH Part 2.

Now with that being said there were some scenes that they added in the film that should not have been in there. The whole Harry/Hermione dancing scene was just awkward and random. To me it was ooc for Harry do do that. Also the horcrux locket Harry/Hermione kiss was way overdone and uncomfortable to watch. The Harry/Ginny kiss was ok but u couldn't c it.

In my opinion, the worst movie was the fourth. Because they cut out many important parts and characters.
The Dursleys, Bill, Charlie, Pidwigion, Ludo Bagmen, Bertha Jorkens. Come on, the fourth book was great, but the movie sucked. I didn't mind the 5th, 6th and 7th (part 1) but I don't recall the weasleys house catching on fire in the book.

@mmm4466 I think the casting was wonderful and the effects were brilliant, so I value your opinion ^_^ I believe the series as a whole (as far as the movies are concerned) stand alone fairly well. I do wish they would've added a lot of what they left out from the fourth movie.

@LoveSellyG Well, I don't mean it to sound like every one of the movies are a load of garbage. The casting was impeccable, the visual effects were very well done, if not perfect. I just wish they wouldn't change the storyline as much as they did. It's one thing to omit scenes due to time, but it's quite another to completely change the settings or even add things that weren't originally there.

i was SOOO pissed at this scene, the kiss scene in the book was described so amazingly that i couldn't wait to see it on film....and then all i got was this. But if she was underage then that makes sense, but still i wish it could've been a bit longer than it was.

@zeno494 The book really has nothing to do with it. Harry never actually finds the diadem, it's burned, one of the most severe and risky ways to destroy a Horcrux.

i think that they should have made this scene like they say in the book... is harry who starts kissing ginny and it's after the gryffindor won the quidditch match AND everyone saw them kissing!!! it would have been much more interesting :(

@WarriorQueen2 I agree with you! Have you seen the DH Part 1 yet? It was good but they really messed up again with the Harry/Ginny kissing. The angle was all weird. Then they had to stick in the scene with Harry/Hermione dancing. What a waste of a scene. It was random and stupid. Oh and the whole evil riddle Harry/Hermione kiss during the locket scene, ugh! It was overdone and just really very uncomfortable to watch. I hope there are better Harry/Ginny scenes in DH Part 2.

@WarriorQueen2 You mean Deathly Hallows Part 1? Well, I think it was pretty accurate. This film was the closest to the books than the others. Now with that being said there were some scenes that they added in the film that should not have been in there. The whole Harry/Hermione dancing scene was just awkward and random. To me it was ooc for Harry do do that. Also the horcrux locket Harry/Hermione kiss was way overdone and uncomfortable to watch. The Harry/Ginny kiss was ok but u couldn't c it.

@beapot Oh! Yeah, I meant Deathly Hallows. I have no idea what I was thinking! I am glad to hear it was fairly accurate. I can't wait to see it. I'm surprised they added scenes that were not in the novel. The movie is long enough, they should've taken time for events in the novel. I've heard a lot about the kisses being uncomfortable. Perhaps it is the awkwardness of the actors emanating out of the film ^_^ I have seen a few interviews where they mentioned how weird it was kissing each other.

In my opinion, the worst movie was the fourth. Because they cut out many important parts and characters.
The Dursleys, Bill, Charlie, Pidwigion, Ludo Bagmen, Bertha Jorkens. Come on, the fourth book was great, but the movie sucked. I didn't mind the 5th, 6th and 7th (part 1) but I don't recall the weasleys house catching on fire in the book.

@LoveSellyG Well, I don't mean it to sound like every one of the movies are a load of garbage. The casting was impeccable, the visual effects were very well done, if not perfect. I just wish they wouldn't change the storyline as much as they did. It's one thing to omit scenes due to time, but it's quite another to completely change the settings or even add things that weren't originally there.
That, and I have no idea what I said prior to this. haha ^_^ I'm really glad you loved the movies.

@WarriorQueen2 i'm pretty sure they didn't change much at all in the movies, just the harry and ginny kiss scene in the 6th one. they completely changed that, but everything else is the same, they just cut out loads of scenes from the books. besides, it's good that books and movies are in some ways different. it'd be pretty dull if absolutely everything was the exact same, 'cause then there'd be no surprises for the book readers in the movies.
