If yes, I am sorry to say but any improviser can "write" this kind of music while watching TV. There is no sense of verticality whatsoever. No colors. No real sonic exploration. Just a collection of spasms. People call this "complexity"? So, does this mean that complexity is anything that sounds like if someone is improvising without even paying attention to what the other person is trying to do? Ok, then. Thanks.
It makes me sad that in the current economy, with cuts to public services being so harsh that there is still money available to fund useless projects like this.
I feel so bad for those poor little instruments. can you imagine? I bet while they were being made they had hopes and dreams of someone coming along and buying them. Then that person playing beautiful music with them. Those instruments want to feel loved and make beautiful sounds. and THIS is what they get? poor little guys. Anyone want to join me in a rescue mission?

Then buy a CD of Albrecht Mayer or search for "Martinu Oboe Concerto", just don't devalue the work these performers have invested.
