it wouldn't actually be quiet. they would have a gate on her vocals so that it would cut down when she goes up. it gives the tech more control in the mix

@Klaudia249249 The way that the Line Array Speakers are curved you could be out of the arrays conical range. The vocal was probably fine you just probably couldnt tell. Didn't look like they had front fills either. The response of alot of those setups are scattered throughout the crowd. Thats why you probably thought her vocals were low.
