hay i have a big Q. do mice inbreed? i need to know this becouse i am gunna get a snake and i need to get some feeder mice for breeding becouse the closest pet store to me is about 1 and a half - 2 hours away. and if so how many mice will i need to get (males and females).if you know the info i am lookin for please be a pal and share it :). thanks to all that help

how much did that cost to set up all the rat racks and everything. i have two boa's but going to be breeding them next breeding season my 7 foot super hypo jungle male is ready to go he is going to be an aggressive breeder. I was just wondering how much it cost to build all those rat racks and everything. i thought you couldn't keep african soft furred rats in plastic tubs because they can chew threw anything.

i know that but some people just do it for breeding perposes i take all my rats out but most them time they get cat food without red dye init and sunflower seeds and peas and rat lab blocks. i know they need stuff to climb on but some people don't really think they need that but he has a nice set up and he is not abusing them one bit at least they arenot alone.

That was the stupidest most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my life. My pet rat just died, let me tell you, they have souls. They have feelings, They care, They have families, which they care about as much as we care for ours. They eat, sleep, play, drink, get sad, are happy. If you saw my other rat, calling and squeaking and screatching because he can't find his brother you would not be telling me they have no sould. You're just a heartless human not deserving of anything/ones feelings.

Breeders of rats, people who breed rats, not only for food, still have to keep them all smushed together, because they keep breeding,they can't just stop, that ruins everything, because they would have to wait a couple weeks to get the food, and unless they want t run out, they can't stop. Do you honestly think people like this guy like to keep them all smushed together, maybe if he had the money, he would probably get bigger boxes or someting, but.. its just the way it is...

My rodents in all honestly are really well maintained and comfortable, so I must assume your real issue is with the ultimate purpose of my keeping and breeding rodents. I do the best job I can to provide my reptiles with the food source they require as humanly as possible. Death feeds life and is necessary in the cycle of life although sometimes it isn't always politically correct. Although I disagree, I do respect your opinions and can see your point of view.

Yep, I'm a rodentperson. But as I said, I'm aware that reptiles need them for food, just like my rats need other kinds of meat. I don't mind that, I'm all for the natural stuff. I'm even planning on getting a snake myself when I can :) So no, the fact that your rats are going to be food is no problem at all. The only problem I can see with them is how they're being taken care of. Take the excercise for example, do your rats get any excercise in their cages? Impossible, not enough space for it...

I agree that your rats do have a much better life than lonely rats. I've had a couple of lonely rats myself since I often get rats that have been mistreated and can't live with other rats since they've been lonely for too long and that's the worst thing a person can do for a rat according to my experience.

I get that snakes also needs to eat - I like snakes myself and would love to get some snakes myself some day. I also get that of course, in order to get food for them, you have to breed rats.

What I don't get is how you can treat those poor animals like that. That is animal cruelty. Rats need space, they need to climb, they need various food, they need stimulation. Not giving them that is just cruel and heartless.

They need various food and not just lab blocks and since they're very intelligent animals they need excercise not just for the body but also for the brain. It's really not that hard to give them a good life so I don't see the point in refusing it.

We had at least 500 mice at one time and we tried selling them to pet shops within a 20 mile radius but we only managed to sell a few so we killed the rest and sold them frozen to a snake shop.

Norte4life, Thanks for the comments. The racks are custom. I use Co2 gas to put the rodents down. First clutch is doing great thanks. I've got many other videos in the making.
