hey man what year is your elantra? i just bought a 2001 with the 2.0 4cyl. any idea what stock boost would be on the factory fuel injectors? im not really goin for speed since i have an rx8, im goin for like ultimate fuel economy lol im at 41mpg highway now =D
adeux you are more than a idiot !!!loll just check when the clucth slip little bit on his start!! i never see an automashit doing this crrect me if im wrong!!
If you want a nice quick takeoff, there are two ways of doing it:
1- in the street, you need to ride the clutch a bit, which means give it some throttle (gas) while you release the brake.
2- On the strip, just rev it to a couple grand and dump the clutch. This will give you a bit of spin but a lot of grabbing. Though there is more to it than that and you need to adjust depending on the car (i.e. slip it a bit or give it less gas etc etc)
thats a really great job you did with that vehicle i have plans on trading in my p5 for an 07 elantra...i will be looking for the alpine turbo kit, thanks for the info...
Yeah but in an everyday traffic thing, you get a very uncomfortable feeling ;) Especially with my car, it's got filled motor mounts, the vibrations already drive me nuts in the morning, haha.
Well thats why those are best left for strip only use. When it's your daily driver it's best to leave the mod's off that will knock your teeth out, plus those kind of thing will eventually destroy the interior of your car, cause things to break loose.
WTF are you talking about? My car is a 5 speed MANUAL, if you think it's automatic because I can manage to shift gears in less than 45 seconds like some other people (probably you also), then think again... I swear, some people are just stupid.
Where did u get the dash gauges? Like the rpm speed miles gas, and temp

were did you aquire your turbo kit for your vehicle...?
teamixr 4 years ago
I got it off Alpine, but modified it intensively. Now it's all custom except for the manifold.

I don't mean to disagree but riding the clutch is bad period. Quick take offs require practice thats all.
You can find the rpm where you can dump the clutch and the wheels don't spin, that the zone for your quick take off.

Agreed, but I like experimenting with machines, especially since I study in the engineering field :)

I hope you aren't talking about me, because I never agreed with what somebodykz said.
For god's sake, if I tell you it's a manual, it's a manual. Why would anyone contest that?
