dont ever kick the ball with your front toes u can break them or injure them when passing it do it with your side so it can get better aim if u want to kick it with power kick it with the front of your foot but be carefull beacuse u can hit the ground and it will hurt like a baby bee stung u if u want it to go high kick it eith the side and a little to right or left depens wicth foot u kick and practice makes perfect:)

when i was in scouts we drilled holes in the bottom if the car was to light and we poured metal, i think lead, into the bottom.

to make the car fast you want to sand down the wheels a little with sand paper and spray silicon spray on the wheels and use 50 cent coins as waits works great.

A little tip is to sand down the nails that go on your derby car so there will be less friction also add some lubrication any brand will do I got mine from hobby lobby.

I remember my 5th Pine Wood Derby race, I won most of the rounds (the dang douche kid in the pack had his car professionally done by some "well known" craftsman), but I still received second place medal. Even though the kid won some races, he didn't receive a medal because the leaders found his car very suspicious xD
