Actually the trick the Germans use is not to get to sunbeds first thing in the morning but last thing at night after the pool area has been cleaned ready for the next day. Great advert which hasn't dated all that much BUT the english guy talks in the typically annoying TV twang of the era. It's american-influenced but you can still tell he's suppressing public school with a hint of mockney and it really pisses me off, it sounds so damn irritating.

Carling Black Label as available in the US is NOT the same product as what was and still is (as Carling) available in the UK. That said, I think you will find the global Carling brand is owned by Molson Coors! Never ceases to amaze me how folks post stuff with no knowledge of the subject!

Best advert ever, but as a previous comment said, I can't believe the PC brigade haven't tied you up with piano wire and sent you to the gas chamber for posting this.
That said, I like Germany very much, and will always appreciate them knocking the Argies out of the 1990 and 2006 world cups (even though they beat us in the former), Those Germans who said they found this funny - good for you.

Actually the trick the Germans use is not to get to sunbeds first thing in the morning but last thing at night after the pool area has been cleaned ready for the next day. This way you can sleep in in the morning and still have a sunbed waiting for you. I am surprised the Brits have not clocked on to that one yet.

Good vid , but most Brits are so pissed on holiday they dont rise before 11.00. Any yanks out there should come to the med and try to get a sunbed ! You need to get up early as they are all reserved at 06.00 hrs by dare i say Germans, who then go into town or for a walk for hours . Does anyone remember the carling black label advert from around 1986. It started off as a normal advert with cowboys chasing a guy or something. then the advert ended & was assumed over & another advert in a supermarket or something started supposedly advertising soap powder. all of a sudden the cowboys would burst onto the set. then there was a third in a nightclub or something. basically cowboys chasing through 3 adverts. if anyones got this pls pls put it on - greatest advert ever.

Great advert which hasn't dated all that much BUT the english guy talks in the typically annoying TV twang of the era. It's american-influenced but you can still tell he's suppressing public school with a hint of mockney and it really pisses me off, it sounds so damn irritating.
