@giovagrunge no he's not. the best song writter in the 90's is Eddie Vedder, all of his lyrics tell a story, they have passtion behind them. read the lyrics to alive, jeremy, black, even flow, animal, footsteps. to name some, compare to some nirvana lyrics, smells like teen spirit, lithium, in bloom, come as you are, about a girl. as far as guitar playing goes no doubt daniel is 100 times better then kurt. same goes with singing.

@90srock I really admire Eddie Vedders song writing, but I think Layne Staley was the best. I suppose it depends on what you're looking for. I dont do drugs like Layne did so I cant relate in that respect, but I really like the anger and feeling he put in his lyrics, it really shows. But Vedder is one of my favourites. I cant stand Nirvana though, their songs really bore me.
