this way, i can basically have a mac at my disposal, and on top of that, i can still actually play some games
(im also gonna run a second partition with lite windows 7, and mac virtual machine built onto it, the vitual machine loads OSX automatically on boot, so i can run final cut pro and all that other stuff)

Gaming on the other hand I leave to games consoles not a computer.

I've never owned a pc and honestly the last time I got to try one the thing froze up in the middle of the demo and about 20 error popups came out in less than 2min... that has never happened to any of my macs and I've owned them since the 128k (which still works). My bf has never owned a mac and says he's never had any problems with pc since windows 3.0, which doesn't work any longer...

All im saying people keep saying Macs cant run games without bootcamp... the truth is they can and quite smoothly depending on your graphics card. EA is not the only company to be making computer games. You have blizzard releasing diablo which will run on a mac along with many of their other products such as world of warcraft, warcraft 3. o and a good EA game i recently got to play is Sims 3 (non EA sports). 3 games doesnt take up much CPU, 2 HD videos is hardly any almost none CPU taken up, and 7 firefox windows is also barley anything. On the other had 5 OS's, takes up around 85%-95% of my CPU. I'd say your CPU running with all that is 25%-50% depending on what PC you have.

This is complete bullshit. PCs have always been able to play, edit, make, movies, music, pictures, and websites. Worst Mac Vs PC commercial I've ever seen thus far.
Depends on the level of performance and features you get in the programs. Some will argue that itunes is way better than windows media player, and that iMovie is 100x better than windows movie maker, while others will argue that audacity has more capabilities than garageband, or that PC's have more available software (90% of which is crap, and/or antivirus software FACT)
It all depends on what you are LOOKING for in these areas.
Personal opinions, MS and Mac are just the same, maybe MS a tad more complicated. I'm not a PC genius and I just usually run the basic protection/performance tasks and after a year, my Vista is still as fast as it's first day switched on.
By the way iMovie and WMM are both the BASIC compared to Sony Vegas or even Pinnacle Studios. They're freeware! Why compare them?

No, Windows movie maker is great. You the only reason you would need a better program is if you are professional. Windows media player does what it needs to do, it can save playlists, has a shuffle option, and plays media. Windows photo gallery... well I can't say anything about that because I have XP. Depends on the level of performance and features you get in the programs. Some will argue that itunes is way better than windows media player, and that iMovie is 100x better than windows movie maker, while others will argue that audacity has more capabilities than garageband, or that PC's have more available software (90% of which is crap, and/or antivirus software FACT)
It all depends on what you are LOOKING for in these areas.

Personal opinions, MS and Mac are just the same, maybe MS a tad more complicated. I'm not a PC genius and I just usually run the basic protection/performance tasks and after a year, my Vista is still as fast as it's first day switched on.
By the way iMovie and WMM are both the BASIC compared to Sony Vegas or even Pinnacle Studios. They're freeware! Why compare them?

Because PC's play games. They have a wider range of programs made by indie programmers. They are easier to customize. You can fix them without sending your PC to Microsoft. So many reasons why.

-Mac's don't need customization because they have all the selections you could want already
-Mac's don't get viruses so the only things you would have to take them in for would be hardware failure resulting from drops or spills, PC's would have to be taken in for the same reason

-Macs can now boot up windows meaning it has all the windows "problems"
-You pay a premium for having bells and whistles, for example the entry level lap top for Apple is a MacBook for &799 or more. It includes many features that are fun and cool such as integrated cam and many other features. But, you are paying for the Apple price and could get a similar PC lap top for a few hundred less.

1. Macs can get viruses written specifically for their precious MacOS ;)
2. There will be not point in writing any version of the PC games being coded for the Mac since Microsoft's DirectX is the best games API available for writing games.
3. How do you know that all the selections you will ever need are on the Mac? Can you see into the future?
4. freeware performs functions that commercial programs can not or, at least freeware is free instead of charging someone £30 just to do the same thing!

No, Windows movie maker is great. You the only reason you would need a better program is if you are professional. Windows media player does what it needs to do, it can save playlists, has a shuffle option, and plays media. Windows photo gallery... well I can't say anything about that because I have XP. Also Microsoft frontpage... dick head.
Well I don't need to argue with you, I'll just go and play on my games, because games are fun.

-Macs programs are all the full version where as PC's have a bunch of trail software, and you would spend money on the indie programs so why not just buy the pro versions? unless you don't get that much allowance

iTunes has gotten crap recently and, it automatically checks the Apple Safari browser as an "update" to get the un-secure piece of crap onto my computer - as if microsoft internet explorer wasn't a security flaw itself!
My neighbour has some Mac programs that aren't "full versions" so, what are you talking about?
