I just know that on the various US released CDs I have featuring this song, the name always appears as 'I met you my love', with the cyrillic 'Я встретил Вас' in brackets.
He was born in 1900, so he would have been 80 years old here. He was such an expressive artist. The way he used his arms and hands - as if they were like extensions of his voice. Thanks so much Freddy.

It is really amazing. Ivan Semyonovitch Kozlovsky was a great artist. What a pity that he has been never allowed to sing outside the USSR.
