Wow they did a pretty incredible job! I just got the same thing done a little over a day ago lol, really hope they look as good as yours do once the stitches are out. Would have kept them but it's tough getting a job with those things when you live in a rural southern area full of judgmental rednecks :0(

Wow. First i have to say you're gorgeous >.< But. That's pretty hardcore that you went that far, but were adult enough to undo it as well. Or, just doing it for whatever your reasoning may be. that's pretty scary, but they are healing awesome. Are you ever going to pierce them again, do you think? As in, just a piercing, not implying a huge stretch.

@carterateababy Thank you; you're very kind. Yeah, it was but I can admit when I started stretching (I was fourteen) I didn't even think about being left with such big holes in my ears. I don't regret getting them sewn up. No, I'm not re piercing them. I had my plugs, then two holes above it, so I still have two holes on each ear, I'm content with that!

@vVHAVICVv Depends on where you live. Plastic surgeon! Call around, get estimates, view pictures (before and afters) whether be in the office or on their website. Don't settle; it may be a lot of money but you want it to be worth it!

I had mine closed from about an 8 guage (downsized from 0 after three years) and it seems to be healing pretty well. Because I am a person of colour (in a non racist manner), I tend to scar worse. At least my scars are smaller because the guy who did it used a medical punch to remove the old hole and scarring.

Can't wait to get them repierced next month though. Do they usually do it through the scar tisuse? Or a bit off of it (to avoid ripping it back open)

@jess1541 Are you just going to re-pierce them or do you plan on stretching? The scar tissue itself is much weaker then the surrounding tissue so it would be best to do it up, below, or possibly around the scar. That way you can avoid any problems.(:

I plan to just repierce at a 16 guage (with a needle, not a gun). I'm not planning on re-stretching. The guy who did the recon for me is going to repierce for me. How long after the initial healing would the scar be noticeable for? Because it looks pretty bad and I'm hoping the re-piercing would minimize or conceal it if you get what I mean.

@divadthab im getting mine fixed very soon and they said it would be about 1500$ for both ears and its just goes by the size mine is a inch so it wont cost a fuck ton of money but just search it online and make some calls im sure you can find a reasonable price :)

@BigAssPlugs94 I'm sure it will depend on where you go to get them done but they should. Mine were half an inch shorter than yours and turned out how they are. Make sure you view before and after photos at the surgion you choose. If you aren't happy with that work, go somewhere else; don't risk it.

Body modifications, to me, are a demosntration of how someone is insecure about how "unique" they are. Thus they go to extremes to have their bodies changed in ways which are so bizarre that they prove to others that they are indeed "different".

Personally I think its sad that they can't be happy with who they are and instead choose to have themselves modified to such an extent.
