I was the 1st person on YT to announce the name "Imaginarium" and did so 6 months before anyone else. That was because Marco had emailed it to me. That photo here is me with my great friend Mark Jansen. So, how is Count Dracula? You are his daughter right? Wheres YOUR PROOF....daughter of vampire.
The meaning of the song is this: there was HER DARK EXISTENCE that was lost in APRIL RAIN which in Holland is brutal. She was reaching out for her existence in peace and calmness.In the video you see these 2 meet, then the light one reaches out, the dark one EMBRACES that other self and crosses over. Then the bridge back to the tormenting side was broken so she could continually exist in the peace and wellbeing place. GOT THAT? I met them 2 years ago. Charlotte is gorgeous! Delains a good band.
This song is not just the beat - it's an Idea, it's a way of life, a paradigm - too bad that the director of the video did not recognized this. So, for me (FOR ME!), the understanding of the song came after I separated the video from the audio (except the scene of the wall of rain).
@agominator They say.....the symphonic metal bands from Finland are famous....the ones from HOLLAND ARE LEGENDARY! Think about this genre domination: EPICA, Within Temptation, After Forever, and now Delain. A funny bit of history: Simone heard Tarja and wanted to be that.Floor met Simone and wanted to be that.Charlotte heard those and wanted to be like them. They are all great friends.AND, it comes as stunning news to most that Tarja and ANNETTE OLZON are great friends.I actually know these.

@agominator Go listen to After Forever, that Floor Jansen IS NOTHING LIKE NOW Floor Jansen.She was onstage with EPICA just last year and sang duet with Simone for several songs and they sounded amazingly alike.8-9 years ago,Floor was not a high quality voice.She took vocal training since although its wasted on ReVamp. I know these people personally.Checkout all the 200+ bands that are official channel friends and my id photo with Mark Jansen.These gals all respect & love one another.Thats great.
@kevingthompson13 yeah, i´ve heard after forever, and i´ve heard Floor Jansen´s lyrical voice evolving from Ephemeral until After Forever the album (I think it was then when Floor´s voice stopped changing), but I personally think Floor sounded better than Simone in most of the songs, she sounded stronger than Simone which proves that even when Sancta Terra was "Simone´s" song, Floor did a better performance, and that´s because Simone´s voice isnt depeloped yet, listen sweer curse and floor´s bet
@agominator YEAH well Ive heard Simones studio version/video of both Illusive Consensus, and Sensorium and watched the Kingdom of Heaven video all dozens of times. Floor as much as I like her just doesnt sing like that and yes she did get voice coaching just a few years back because she was falling behind the others and Simone actually suggested it to her. I have heard Floor do some great stuff, BUT SHE IS NOT ON PAR WITH SIMONE.Ailyn has a great voice too and so does Liv Kristen.
@kevingthompson13 you´re right, one of the most majestic voices i´ve heard is simone´s when she sings kingdom of heaven, specially at paradiso 2011, and her voice is not only majestic and beautiful but also pretty dark, she´s unique
@agominator You see, its actually really hard to knock any of these gals because they all have a uniqueness and are good in thier own way.Tarja & Simone have served as icons over the whole genre and have brought many fans into it. I grew up in the US and fems were not promoted by labels.Pat Benatar, Patty Smyth, Heart, and Vixen were all special and all threw under the bus.Its why I work so hard to promote and support these new gals.Its why I started a TOTALLY FEM METAL CHANNEL. Its unique too.
@kevingthompson13 yeah, i think some new bands kindda copy others, not intentionally but they do, so it´s pretty hard to get way in this kind of music, most of the bands need to get their own sound as Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica and some others have done, but for example Sirenia had a unique sound, now they´re too commercial and without that mystic touch
@agominator The 3 MOST commercial bands in this genre hands down are; Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, and Within Temptation. I am a fan of WT anyway.I grew up with Def Leppard, Foreigner, Boston, and Journey all of which would be called commercial. THE PRODUCT WAS STILL GOOD.Path to Decay was a great video/song. Ailyn is catching on and her voice is unique, I like it much. Leaves Eyes is catching on too and Liv Kristen is a honey, I met her.Its hard to sell many albums without any com help.Just allow.
@kevingthompson13 yeah, but you can also be commercial without losing your touch like Tristania, for example. But I don{t think Evanescene belongs to this genre
@agominator Evanescence actaully is this genre although not in the purist form.Knowing as many bands as I do, its a really hard thing for them to find a balance between being successful and not selling out.Some bands get accused of selling out just because they became successful. I have seen MUCH growth ans expansion of the whole symphonic metal genre both fem and male.I am very glad of this.I have identified 300 fem metal bands so far and have some 200+ in playlists now showing. Its outrageous.
@agominator You would really like Heidi with Amberian Dawn. I have a video of thiers currently featured on my channel. She has an amazing voice and few even know about her/them. Its one of the main purposes behind my 2 youtube efforts. There are so many great bands. They all deserve credit.

@agominator Several members of that band are email pals of mine.Artica is a great video and they are hoping to do more.That 1 was an experiment to see how well it would be received. I have become a huge fan of fem metal.I was already a fan of symphonic & progressive.Once I met Simone,Annette, Liv & Charlotte....well those are SOME GREAT INFLUENCES!

@agominator Did you see it? I have it featured at my channel now. They made this last year. The song by itself might not be great, with the video it shows very well. They were experimenting with making videos and this was thier first go. I think its good. I would like for AD to be more known. Hiedi has a terrific voice. Shes a cuttie too! Whaddya think about Edenbridge? They are as old as NW. Sabine has one of the best voices in the business to me.Listen to ARCANA. Its amazing!

@DaughterOfVampire Actually they met years ago when Tarja was fascinated by the style of Alyson Avenue.Because of so much public pressure she stays well away from that story now. She did send roses and a congratulations card to Annette for her first performance with NW onstage.It was to support another woman in the business, not the band. She does still have class as a professional.Meantime, watch out for what they say in interveiws.This is a tricky business.Lots of spin and misdirection.
