I see this video as a testament to the obvious but non-universal truth that being an architect doesn't mean you'll have a lame life... you can still ride the thrills if you become one.
Doug.. I like you dude.. but that was stupid, you could've broken both your legs guy. For future reference Doug.. never make any decisions whatsoever under the influence of flu medicine... just stay where you are and rest, and drink lots of liquids.
By the way Doug........... BWAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!! That is too funny!
my god, i had a lmao and rolf by the time i got to 5:49... XD and almost couldn't stop laughing... XD but now i watched it completely.. and yeah, unbelievable... what a moment u had there lol XD
i have jumped out of a moving train in india, fell n faintedright on the spot. lucking i had no injury -thank god.
my reason of jumping out of the train? got into a train that was going for service, fear of a man in the compactment that made me think somethin horrible would happen.i didnt speak the language n didnt know how far the stop would be.
Bachelor party, October 1979, two days before my marriage. Nothing special, no strippers, just me and my posse of four determinedly touring four or five bars, and ended up at the train tracks, where a heavily loaded freight train came by at less than running speed, so the craziest of my friends grabbed a boxcar ladder, and said, "Come on!"
So I did. Seemed like a good, or at least an interesting idea at the time.
And jeez. Doug, it isn't anywhere as good as your story. But at any rate, here's my second train story. 1992, I did the obligatory second year (for me third year, see separate letter) tour of Europe
Oh, man, that's an incredible story. Funny thing is, I have a story about a train, too.
But though it's much shorter than yours, it won't fit within the 314 characters remaining, so I'll send it differently. And I apologize for the thumbs down above to joseprado72, because the first sentence sounded seems to be a criticism...t\hen turns into praise.
It's a very confusing little statement...not unlike the things that I hear from our clients.
Sounded like a movie to me...lol was the stuff in your bags worth getting lost or severely injured over?

I just commented one of your videos and know I realized you have been to portugal! You keep surprising me :)
I'm studing architecture in Oporto, in a school designed by Siza Vieira. What do you think about portuguese architects? Please respond, obrigado!
(great story btw)

lol I'm sure it wouldn't have been nearly as fun if that never happened :)

So we sat on top of the boxcar, both of us really, really, drunk, laughing like crazy.
And then the train began to speed up.
7 hours later, we were 500 miles away, and had to walk five miles to the nearest town, where I had to call my fiancée to rescue us.
I should have had a good idea right then and there that the marriage probably wouldn't be any kind of permanent thing.
