i'm just starting to experiment with polymer my self and at the first day i'm having a problem i figured everyone has...

i made some mushrooms with a thin body and a heavy head...and also a bird with a long neck.they were standing very nice before bake...but when i put them in the oven,the clay becomes too soft before it gets hard and it ruined them...they bended. so i was thinking if there is any trick i could use for thin and tall items that i want em baked vertically!

@xKopGx You can put a metal pin inside/between those fragile parts. (I use eyepins for charms but usually cut them shorter so I have extra "metal sticks" left which I use)

Awesome! I make a few pieces myself. Ever have a client try to eat one of your sculptures ? Happened to me...and I don't even make food! I work in a blended clay,and I make very detailed faerie figurines. I had a few figures on display at an outdoor show, and was busily finishing one or two more. My finished pieces hang on strings, and suddenly I see a hand swoop in and grab one hanging near my head! I look up to see some random guy, about to pop one of my $500.00 figures into his mouth!
