Great video. If you run parallels on your Mac, you can download ChromeOS, which is google's new "web-based" OS. These type OSs boot very quickly. I'm with you on them being the nextgen OS. Between these type OS and memristor technology, computing is about to make a leap not seen since ENIAC.

@youtindia Yes, there is something new about it. THE OPERATING SYSTEM IS A BROWSER. Obviously you haven't tried it, since you know nothing about it.  There are several things separating chrome "browser" from ChromeOS, and ChromeOS from any other OS.

@youtindia Of course you can use the apps from chromeOS in the chrome browser. That's because ChromeOS is Chrome the browser. The thing you seem to be discounting though, is that with Chrome the browser, you a relying on another operating system, which has it's own overhead, and malware. So, that means, not only are you running chrome, you are running Windows/OSX/Linux. With ChromeOS, the only program you have running is the operating system (which is linux), and thus very light-weight.

I just got a QNAP NAS and EyeOS can be installed on it so I'm looking into what it can do. Good idea. Do you know how/if I can sync the EyeOS calendar and/or address book with my iPhone? Or maybe sync these to Google which will then sync with my iPhone?

ermm i don't think its the future. lot of things cannot be transferred yet as fast as its needed to reach the optimum speed. i think it's much more possible to use faster internet connections to update your os, which loads from rom, just to avoid th uselessness of computer offline.

Technically, all computers cant boot from the internet as not all computers have access to the internet.

Umm. i havent done much research on the subject but i believe it is possible to boot from the internet. there exists some software(or something like that) that allows the booting across networks, one of them being pxe. since the internet is one gigantic network, theoretically it is possible. and the part where u said not all computers have access to the internet dosent mean that ALL computers cant boot from the internet.

And the guy in the vid seems kinda high or sumthing lol
