I took the ending to be a little open ended (which I liked). I took the "P.S. Guess What?" to mean either 1) She found that moment again where life as she knew it would change forever-- the looks between she and William (which was a BIG theme in the movie and bringing love and life full circle which was Gerry's hope for her) or 2) P.S. Guess What? to be what most thought-- P.S. I Love You. Or 3) All of the above. I liked interpreting that it was all of the above.

@petercarney I picked up the word fella easily tho it may have something to do with the 10+yrs I spent working as an MT at a large teaching hospital in a level I trauma ctr w/doctors from all over the world and it could also be due to the fact that b4 I began telecommuting from home, I worked w/a man from Britain, Scotland, and from Ireland. I sort of adjusted to the dialect. It's not easy for many to understand me as I have a Georgia accent (USA) so I often have to repeat myself.
