I am no Tory supporter but as a wealth creator in the private sector, 28 year old male this government have done NOTHING but intrude on my life. They are RACIST towards ME and my generation.I have never HATED a government so much. Go away you fucking troll PRICK!!!

  • Get a grip man time everyone woke up to this left right bullshit

  • I would just like to say that this clip has hit home. without a spoken word. well done who ever put it together.

  • Last I checked Conservatism is supposed to keep things the same as they are. So how can a Conservative party be campaigning for change.

I hope a real party gets into power, not a party of some right-wing upper class fools who care more about their pockets than their policies. A party who's true intentions are to destroy the NHS and the BBC.

  • A common misconception. Disraeli explained it best when he said conservatism was opposed to change for the sake of change. Change should be organic. And conservatism allows organic change, whilst conserving the best of the past e.g. Monarchy, Church etc.

  • From dictionary:

    "1.

    a. To protect from loss or harm; preserve: calls to conserve our national heritage in the face of bewildering change.

    b. To use carefully or sparingly, avoiding waste: kept the thermostat lower to conserve energy.

    c. To keep the same, to preserve

    2. To keep (a quantity) constant through physical or chemical reactions or evolutionary changes.

    3. To preserve (fruits) with sugar."

  • We're talking about conservatism in the political sense. Labour are conservative, in that they keep what they see is best from their previous administrations e.g. the NHS (a 60 year Soviet mistake). Conservatism is the natural way for human beings.

  • Is it? The NHS is one of the great things this country has. Millions of people are treated even those with very little money and who would die if they lived in a country without an NHS type of system.

Conservatism is the natural way of humanity's greed.

But if you think, humanity also feels compassion therefore the Left is exists.

  • If you think humans are naturally passioniate, then why advocate a socialist system that 'forces' it, instead of leaving people be 'naturally' fair to each other, as you have just said.

The NHS is a Soviet mess. Why should I be forced to accept just one healthcare provider. If National Insurance was abolished, I'd get back more of my income, and I could choose my own healthcare.

Why do you oppose my fundamental right of freedom to choose when it comes to MY health?

  • You are not forced to accept the NHS you could choose Bupa or go to a private hospital. Anyway what about people who are not as well off as yourself, who struggle to make ends meet already, and if they didnt have national healthcare they would be worse off or even dead. It is hardly fair to call it mess just because you do not like it.

  • National Insurance is not voluntary... it is compulsory.

I am not well off. Don't be so myopic. I live on a council estate in Doncaster, Labour controlled for over 80 years.

You never answered my question; if you believe humans are naturally passionate and fair, why do you believe in government coercion to enforce it through taxation? If we are truly fair and passionate like you say, surely we can rely on charity?

  • We were talking about the NHS, you are free to go to any private healthcare service you wish. But you are clearly well off enough to be able to consider different healthcare choices rather than government provided healthcare.

I QUOTE: "Conservatism is the natural way of humanity's greed.

But if you think, humanity also feels compassion therefore the Left is exists. " I believe that some humans are compassionate and fair but not all.

  • I am not free to use private healthcare. I cannot afford it because of the levels of taxation. Even those who don't have to use the NHS still have to fund it... how is that fair? Would you fund the drug habit of someone you didn't know?

  • What does that have to do with the discussion?

  • It's about 'fairness.' I believe it is unfair to foot the bill for somebody else. I'm sure you disagree with banks paying big bonuses out using taxpayer cash. I despise it. It is the same principle. It is paying for something for somebody else.

You still haven't answered my question.

  • And yet if you were seriously injured and or you had cancer (for example) the NHS would care for you.

Social workers and other civil servants are funded by the taxpayer do you despise this?

I have already answered your question.

  • If I had the choice of using private healthcare (which I would if the state didn't steal most of my money) they'd help me.

  • It is completely unfair to call it "stealing", it is tax and every country has it.

  • Every country has a murderer, it dosen't mean it is moral.

  • So basically you are saying that the government should have no money (because the budget is made up from taxes, incase you didnt know)

  • The government should be funded by a local sales tax that provides services for those who are physically and mentally disabled. That is it. All other taxes are evil and a form of theft. If you want to pay tax, then you can voluntarily donate some of your salary as tax. For those who wish to keep their money, they should be allowed, but their right to ''free'' public services should be withdrawn. Its called a voluntary system of direct democracy. You sir, are a fascist statist.

  • Then you sir clearly do not know what a facist is.

Ever wondered that the local sales tax may not be enough to fund the social services (e.g care workers), the armed forces, government dep, disabled people and others?

  • I don't know what a facist is. I've never heard of a facist? Perhaps you mean fascist?

Of course it will. Local sales taxes are taxes on consumption, and we all consume luxury goods. The rich buy more big ticket items such as cars, houses, boats etc, and will therefore pay a greater share. It is therefore a progressive tax.

Most government services can be replaced by charity, because as you rightly identified, people are naturally compassionate and will do things voluntarily.

  • Ah pointing out the typo and using it against me, witty.

Unfortunatly Sales Tax wont cover the expenditure.

So you believe foster homes, hospitals and people who are very poor should all be given over to charity? This is just the usual Tory grumble, "i think that tax is evil and because i dont suffer we dont need to support these services".

  • It wasn't witty. I am not a humourist. I try, but alas, I fail. I shall stick to being a pedantic, grammar nerd.

Mostly. I am a minarchist, not an anarchist, and I envisage a role for government in providing for those who cannot provide for themselves. But most of government is useless and should be destroyed.

Taxation is evil. I have no right to any of the money you have earned. No politician has the right to invade my wallet unless I give him my permission.

  • To be honest you sound like an Anarcho-Capitalist.

Taxation isnt evil, it helps run the country in which you live. It helps keep the roads and rails maintained and the pavement (which i am sure you use).

  • I despise the thinking of Murray Rothbard. Anarchism is wrong. You are misinterpreting what I have said. I am opposed to most taxation and government, but I accept the need for some government for defence, law and order, proper flows of information, and enforcement of property and contractual rights. Because we consume in perpetuity, a local sales tax will provide a perpetual revenue stream.

  • Why do we need government to build roads and railways? If people want roads, a business will build it for them for a price. Because of the extra money the citizen keeps from not paying income tax, he can choose from a variety of different providers. It is dangerous thinking to suggest that government is the solution when it is the cause of most problems.

Yes I use roads. I don't use railways. That dosen't make me a hypocrite, because I have no gravity defying talents.

  • Because when an industry like the road or rails are nationalised it is run to provide a good service rather than a profit. If you gave it to private companies you would see so many more toll roads and possibly worse service.

  • Again, that is a normative statement. You are stating things that you believe ought to be true, but you are not stating fact. Can you provide any empirical evidence to back up your claim?

The point of competition is that the consumer gets to choose. If the consumer dislikes one company, they will another one. That is a positive statement, as many studies will confirm the veracity of that statement. Go and learn the difference between positivism and a normative statement.

  • If you wish to continue this debate, would you consent to continue it over the youtube private message system, because a 500 character world limit is not enough space for me to express my views, and constantly breaking my views down into segments makes it harder to make it more coherent and legible.

  • The Conservative Party RULES OK

  • ready for change! right but to the thatcher era!

  • Dear tory voters. Can you see to what lengths the marxist Labour party, will go to, to try and stop the opposition. Even mess there election campaign up. Just look at tomika1967. Never vote Labour.

  • 'Marxist' Labour party? Fucking wow

  • Who made the music for this video? :D

  • How sad that, the arse licking Labour supporters, have marked down all anti Labour posts. Well just for you, Gordon Brown is a one eyed scottish idiot.

    Morons.

  • No, I just dislike scottish idiots like Gordon brown, who screw our country up.

  • Whatever. I don't care what some sad pathetic Labour supporter thinks. Do one loser. New Labour will be terminated ha ha ha.

  • The Scottish idiots are the ones who vote Conservative or the BNP or UKIP.

  • Fantastic. Labour are on the way out. Move over Mr Brown make way for common sense and hope

  • tacky video

  • It's time New Labour was Terminated and they will be.

  • and why was the miners strike labours fault when thatcher was the pm? labour didn't introduce the poll tax!! a tory government did! and it wasn't labours fault that there was 4 million unemployed! the reason was there was a tory government!! how can you blame labour??

  • I just watched that broadcast. They said that the minimum wage would cost jobs. DID IT? Everything in that scaremongering broadcast was proven wrong.

  • @ screammac where you meaning me when you said "bnp shit" ?? when i vote labour and not bnp! thicko!!

  • ARE YOU DYSLEXIC?

  • If the conservative party gets into power i will only lose pride in this UK. Being Scottish i already dislike the Conservative party

  • You still haven't answered my question.

  • Repeating You still haven't answered my question, wont get you anywhere the fact is i have.

  • Actually, I have answered all of your questions. You haven't answered mine. You stated that humans being are naturally kind towards each other, which is why we have left wing parties. If this is true, why do we need high taxation and big government when we can rely on natural human instincts through charity and voluntary service? Why do you advocate coercion when you state human nature means we will do it anyway?

  • QUOTE: "Conservatism is the natural way of humanity's greed.

But if you think, humanity also feels compassion therefore the Left is exists. " I believe that some humans are compassionate and fair but not all.

  • So why do you force some humans to go against their nature? That is called coercion, and is no different from Stalin forcing peasants to work in Gulags in the name of ''collective good.''

  • Why force some humans to go against their nature? For the same reason murderers, rapists, peadofiles, theives and fraudsters are punished. Or is that bad because we are punishing them for being themselves?

  • So people who believe in freedom and liberty are comparable to paedophiles, thieves, rapists and murderers in your view? Mussolini thought something similar you know... perhaps you should read some of his literature.

  • I think you will find the Mussolini did not think similarly to me.

And at what moment have you mentioned freedom or liberty apart from just then?

  • Can I suggest you vote UKIP then, if you don't want to vote tory. We can't have Labour in power any longer. I think there would be a civil war if re elected.

  • They forgot to mention the number of jobs in manufacturing has gone down rom 4.5 million in 1997 to 3 million today!

  • Could you reference that for me please? I would be extremely interested to read where you found that information from.

    Thank youu :)

  • The economy - a science exact as mathematics, the physics, is impossible to deceive it, not correctly to decide, or to prove. All depends on a command and each member..

  • The people that SUPPORT these CONSERVATIVE RADIO host like RUSH LIMBAUGH, HANNITY, BECK etc. Y don't they answer this question. Y don't THESE host RUN for POLITICAL OFFICE, then THEY can SOLVE the problems & do what THEY want to do? But NONE of these CONSERVATIVE RADIO host want to run for OFFICE, because they know they don't stand a chance in HELL to get ELECTED for ANYTHING! Because they wouldn't make as MUCH MONEY in office. But YET they r supposed to be so PATRIOTIC. They r ALL full CRAP!

  • Why a parochial American comment on a video about the British Tories?

  • I'll believe it when I see it. It's all just talk. Like Barrak Obama; he promised the world, and has broken every promise he made. All talk and propaganda and no action. Go back to sleep UK, we're heading into a communist one world government where all our money is sent to third world countries to pay for our fictional 'carbon footprint' (because carbon dioxide is bad, right? NOT!!). We were thrown over board a long time ago. Remember when Tony Blair was the blue eyed boy of tomorrow?

  • Step 1.

Charge Tony Blair with War Crimes.

Also charge every politician who voted for it, from all parties.

Then rebuild from a clean slate.

  • Another Cameron Torie policy, woman to be given a helping hand by preventing men from running against them as a MP.Does this idiot think woman are that useless they cannot get into parliment on their own. What an insult to all British woman, and he has the balls to say the BNP and a discrimination party.

  • Actually Labour DID that when they first came to power. Stopped men from getting in so women could, turns out just fewer women want the job than men.

  • All they can do is have as open a mind as possible when it comes to recruiting MPs. If the best candidates happen to be female or from an ethnic minority then all the better. But creating women only shortlists doesn't, to me, feel like the best solution.

  • I agree with open mind but I dont see how being a woman or minority makes it any better

  • I meant that I'm sure they would see it as a welcome thing to recruit more MPs that aren't white males as the party would then be more representative of the population.

Personally though, I am in favour of having the best person in the job above all else.

  • and more good news for the Tories tonight ICM have just announced there poll today with yet another 17 point lead for the Tories and I believe there is yet another poll to be released tonight showing the same lead.

  • "From unaccountable elites... to people power" & "From undercover government...to real transparency". I agree. But don't put that in a video unless you REALLY mean it & are definitely prepared to follow through with it.

The absence of the word 'Freedom' from this video is notable. I suppose there's time for that yet.

  • and Our Freedom means the government leaves us alone when there is no need to interfere, real freedom means less tyranny not more!!!

unfortunately, how can we the People trust the Tories or anyone to deliver real freedom today when compounded interest on those national and personal debts steals so much of our money - our national and personal wealth???

fix that littlke conundrum RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW and I might, just might forgive The Tories of their sins under Heath, Thatcher et al...

  • hate censorship, hate word limits, hate Microsoft-sponsored tory spinwashing propaganda!!!

Global Elite == bad, General Electric == bad, it's all mad, bad and very, very sad!!!

Prove me, Steven J Humphrey (a41dog on youtube) wrong - I dare ya'alll!!!!!

  • Ipsos MORI show 17 point Tory lead

Posted on October 20th, 2009 by Anthony WellsICMs latest poll is apparently due out tonight, but in the meantime Ipsos MORI have released their monthly tracker, and theres no sign of any Labour recovery here. The topline figures, with changes from their last poll, are CON 43%(+7), LAB 26%(+2), LDEM 19%(-6).

  • Teenage pregnancy is an issue, an off shoot of a promiscuous & hedonistic culture which has developed with the relative decline of Christendom. David Cameron deserves plaudits for voting to reduce the 24 week abortion limit to 22, and then to 20 weeks in 2008. The education system isn't about real education anymore, rather about enslaving minds - I mean the 'dumbing down' of education (not private schooling) is an irrefutable FACT, & that to me is a corrupt & rotten conspiracy against the people

  • Violent crime is largely related to drugs. That's self evident. So why then are drugs cheaper than ever & so easily available in Britain & consequently blighting lives? It's very simple - the law is SOFT on drug trafficking. So let's have the Conservatives come out of their shell, not with empty slogans like that repulsive Labour Party (War on Drugs), but with depth & conviction so that we may acknowledge that the Conservatives are deadly serious about real 'Change' in our country.

  • I mean, who is responsible for this debt? Blair? Brown? Prescott? Bankers? People who lived outside their means whether by conceit or necessity? All of these would absolve themselves of blame, so who is responsible?

Leading Conservatives possess the wit to illustrate with searing honesty the very obvious reasons why family breakdown is widespread, but do they have the courage? I hope they do.

  • We had a deep recession under the Tories in the 90's, many people of all ages were unemployed. The poor are always getting poorer, & that won't change under any govt that adheres to the status quo. Indeed, Labour have run up an abhorrent debt on this and future generations, but British citizens didn't choose or vote to be laden with that, yet we will undergo the so-called 'age of austerity' because of it.

  • Rubbish, since when have the Tories given a damm about the poor getting poorer, their last administration added to this.

    NEVER FORGET THE TORY YEARS

  • wasn't it your leader gordon brown who wanted to scrap the 10p tax rate which would have made people on low incomes worse off..?

as with a large majority of the i am a floating voter but am think of voting conseravtive.

  • Wasn't it Maggie Thatcher that closed the pits and called the workers "the enemy within".

  • Is Thatcher still in charge then?

  • no but her boss is...

a few of us suspecty David Rockefeller but even he may a puppet of the true puppet 'King of Kings'...

evidence == The Truth == justice for all!!!

the puppetking wants the tories to win but I and my friends say NO!!!!

DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE AND VOTE, JUST FUKKIN VOTE!!!

  • She doesn't need to be, we're still recovering from her actions now.

  • GO for it. It's can't be worse than what we've just had...

  • I cant vote for any of them as i see them as bad as each other. Now thats how most people feel and its a poor state of affairs.

Labour will win again because no one will turn out too vote because no one cares anymore.Hollow promises and greed have broken the spirit of Great Britain.

  • Very good campaign add. It shows whats gone wrong and what needs to be fixed in this country.

  • ur conservatives are just really good @ scare campaigns lol.

  • lets make all the same mistakes major made, mixed with what blair made! Lets just screw up all over again! Weeee!

  • Not bad but the font in the second half is awful!

  • Great video! And to think these are only some of the faults by the Labour govt, in my opinion the only commendable thing the Labour govt have done is pass the Human Rights Act, full on Brown-fall from that day on.

  • lol

  • tacky animation! get some better filmmakers working for you!.... looks terrible!

  • For gods sake they're a political party not a moviemaking company.

  • I don't think a party called the 'conservatives' should be using the word 'change' as a slogan. Those words mean the exact opposite of each other and you can't blame people for thinking that they are just jumping on the Barack Obandwagon.

But again that was just an attack add, I wish I could hear Cameron promoting his own policy's instead of just attacking Brown all the time. Its easy to have a go at whoever is in charge, lets hear your idea's David.

  • "jumping on the Barack Obandwagon" - That is the entire point.

  • Cameron was using the word 'change' as soon as he was elected leader of the party - in 2006 - Long before Barack Obama.

And barret if you'd actually watched any of the conference you would have heard numerous policy announcements from the party, not least George Osbourne's controversial, but honest revelations on what's needed to clear the MASSIVE defecit this country now sits upon. Hard hitting and truthful, not like Brown's 'fantasy land' spending announcements,.

  • I know but its still bit strange using 'change' as a slogan when you called the conservatives. Conservative comes from conserve and that means keeping things the same.

Anyway I was only commenting on this video not the whole conference.

  • Good video. Highlights many of today's problems well.

  • He's just trying to use the word change to hop on the Obama bandwagon.
