  • nope, at those weights you are supposed to launch yourself as far under the bar as you can. otherwise its way to heavy for the high pull.

  • Beautiful smooth receiving position and tight positions. A couple of things: your early arms bend is killing your potential power output. Keep your arms dead straight until you're done standing up. Never actively pull on the bar. Second, this is essentially a power clean that you ride into a squat. If you're interested in lifting the most possible weight, work on turning the bar over lightning fast and receiving it at the bottom position. It won't go as high, but that's ok! Nice lifting :)

  • Gorgeous technique. Better than nearly all of the amateurs I've seen on YouTube. If you're looking for feedback, this is all I've got: it looks like you might be pulling with your arm strength in the second pull, row-style. Anyway, looks great. Keep it up.

  • full clean is a power clean. clean from over the knees is a hang clean.

  • 'Power' clean means you receive the bar with knees above parallel. They can be from the floor, the hang, or from blocks. 'Full' or 'Squat' clean means you receive the bar in a squat position. Again, they can be done from the floor, the hang, or from blocks. This lift was a squat clean, though the lifter caught it high and rode it down into a squat.
