@tylerlol97779 The sundew needs to be given time to produce mucilage/dew before it will be able to respond to and digest food. Once you can see some dew production after the plant settles in for a few days (assuming you have a proper setup for growing Drosera), then you can attempt feeding the plant an appropriate amount of food.
@tylerlol97779 I haven't had as good of luck using fish flakes, but if they're moistened and blended enough, it should work fine. I have a modification that seems to help quite a bit, which was suggested by another grower who recommended adding a very small amount of orchid fertilizer to the water, which stimulates the tentacles to curl over. I'll have a vid response sometime, but i usually use 1/4 teaspoon fert. per gallon of water and mix a small amt. with the crushed fish food.
@ivanFerdianAbimanyu Sorry for the delay....Yes I've used whole pellets on the leaves of D. burmannii and D. admirabilis and a few others, and they digest it just fine.
@1995error haha i completely agree. I just have to resort to this since I'm away from my collection 95% of the year and I am forced to grow these indoors. On top of that, I don't have any free time at this point in my life :/ so fishfood it is! lol
@phatdriver Yeah, unfortunately that one is a bit difficult to find these days... good luck in the hunt though.
lol. you can prolly keep doing the tweezer method til your little babies size up a bit more. I'm in the process upping a vid that is a modification to this method that uses some orchid fertilizer in the food mix to get a better response from the plants when feeding.
The wooden spoon idea is a good one. I'm sure they'll get something from that :)
Well, thanks anyway! Bought myself 100 small tattoo pots! They will do just fine for mixing smelly fish balls :o) By the way, thanks for passing that info on as I was (still am) using blood worms! I'll still use them as variety is the spice, and all that. Also bought one of those tattoo bottles, saw it in one of ya vids and had to have one! I liked it that much ;o) Love the channel, keep those tips and tricks coming! Much love...
@phatdriver Hey Steve, I received that in a bag of fertilizer or lemonade mix or something lol, But any small cup, like a shot glass or something similar will work just as well.
I guess you can try buying a bulk lemonade mix and see if something like that comes with it ;)
any did any body know that when your video is loading if you move ur arrow keys it lets you play a mini game of worm or somthing like that also other than that nice video man it helped

Come on. Seeing the plants eat living insects is half the fun with them.

That broad leaf is hard to come by - damn, drools!
Anyway;o) How woould you go about feeding my sexy wittle sundews?
This liquid food idea is great, as you say, for medium to large.
So is it back to just crushing my balls into tiny bits and tweezering into place.
it's like a piece o dust man!
While buying a coffee in McD's, I lent, a quantity of their wooden spoons:)
Made a really wet mix and left "spoon" in there.
Just, sort of, dabbed a bit, hoping they'll get something!
