@Lrdvltr a good enough wrestler dosnt have to be as good as an elite level striker like a chuck liddel or rampage jackson. they just have to be good enough to avoid getting knocked out and to get close enough for a takedown. the wrestlers goal should be to use wreslting and take the striker off his feet so he cant strike in his element. and the strikers goal should be to keep distance between him and the wrestler so he can strike effectively.
@Lrdvltr but alot of times fighters with good striking and good grappling beat the shit out of submission fighters only to end up getting caught and tapping out in the end. so having good submissions defense is important.

@paulisftw I know, I can read. You said wrestling is fake, but it is scripted. That is different. If it was fake, none of it would exist, the drops wouldn't hurt, some punches and kicks wouldn't be there. But they are. Wrestlers get hurt all the time, and give them respect for that.

@ThelcecreamMan fake and scripted, its pretty much the same thing, scripted where the fighting isn't and everything was already planned, so basicaly all the moves you see are fake and don't really hurt, they just sell. ever heard of the phrase accidents can happen? just because a wrestler breaks their arm irl and not part of a script doesn't really make it anymore interesting, in the end, apart from the odd mistake, its still all planned out, like the fu through the 2 tables, it was scripted

@paulisftw yes, you are right. But WWE is entertainment right? and there IS a diffrence between Fake and Scripted. Scripted is with a script (obviously, like you didn't know) but Fake is that nothing of it exists. The Punch that misses isn't there, the drop from the turnbuckle isn't there. Huge diffrence.
BTW: do you give wrestlers credit and do you respect them?

@ThelcecreamMan try saying that to chris benoit...yes, if your 10 years old or under you'll find wwe entertaining, but honestly, its kinda like believing in santa. you believe in santa when your younger but when you get older you realise its just your parents, so with wrestling its that when your younger you find it entertaining and you think its all real but when you get older you realise its all just fake/scripted. i used to love wwe when i was like 9, then i grew up and realised its fake.

@ThelcecreamMan i don't really respect wrestling thats fake, i had respect for wwe back in 1998-2006 when it was really good, then i realised it was scripted and it just generally got a lot worse and now its just become ridiculous so now i just watch other sports that are actually real and not scripted and i respect the people of those sports that are not fake/scripted.

I swear WWE is hella whack now. Lashley shouldve won this match but of course "Super Cena" had to win the match bcuz the script writing was hella whack back den. Lashley has everything 4rm pure strength to his phenomenal athleticism. Thats why cena cant handle legends like The Undertaker. I dont blame Bobby for leaving the wwe & of course tna didnt make much of a huge impact for him anyway. But i recently found out dat HHH is for now in charge of the wwe script writing......

@timberlandtim1 My point exactly, but striking isn't something thats learned over night. There are natural strikers that will always be superior on standup against a wrestler or jiu jitsu fighter. If they have good TDD and a strong sprawl, they're good.

@Lrdvltr a good enough wrestler dosnt have to be as good as an elite level striker like a chuck liddel or rampage jackson. they just have to be good enough to avoid getting knocked out and to get close enough for a takedown. the wrestlers goal should be to use wreslting and take the striker off his feet so he cant strike in his element. and the strikers goal should be to keep distance between him and the wrestler so he can strike effectively.

@Lrdvltr but alot of times fighters with good striking and good grappling beat the shit out of submission fighters only to end up getting caught and tapping out in the end. so having good submissions defense is important.
