@sacrosanctSUn Technically you're right, but "why do I miss you" has one too many syllable to be able to sing along with the music. I could have used "so why do I miss", but that would makes less sense than "so why do I lust". Plus, "lust" is such a sexy word :)

No, Dong Nhi's still well and singing :) I was just personifying her originality and creativity by saying that it might have died if she continued to sing copied/translated songs, but that hasn't been the case lately, so it's been all good.

Dong Nhi's not notorious for copying other's tunes as much as others, but it's not entirely true to say all her works have been original. One or two of her songs in the past may have been copied, I think "Dung Ngoi Em Trong Bong Dem" was one of such songs, but her recent works have been original. I think we don't have to worry much about Dong Nhi's originality anymore =] Even Bao Thy is starting to shape up in that regards.

Usually she made up songs and sing it by her self.The song she sings that i like are Bi Mat cua Hanh Phuc , Khoc ,Boi Roi remix and Loi Thu Toi Ngoc Ngao.

I believe that our country should expand and grow musically; as well as introduce new music that appeals to today's generation. But I also believe that there is nothing wrong with the ethic/folk music that is embedded in our country. It is unique to us and gives us a sense of culture and ancestry. And that is what we have to show to the world: our culture =]

You've raised a fine point there, I have nothing against sharing good music and translating it from one language to another, heck I do it myself. But To base one's career and a whole nation's musical industry on taking other people's music and translating it and sometimes without due credit, this will not do Vietnam any good in the long run. Sharing music is good, living off others' creativity and fame isn't.
