    again thanks

    Howard Johnson

  • This music is so hard to find, I remember when this album first came out it was so hot and fresh. Music that you never get tired of listening to.

  • What a shame SO Fine was such a mega blinder of this album...this song was slept on in the worse way!!! Love this track..vintage Kashif at its best! Bravo poster!

  • Thumbs up if SebastiAn Arabest brought you there ... OR NOT !

  • i love all things 80`s Starpoint , change , bb&q but this is a top tune

  • Damn this was my song !!!

  • tune, sweet soul music!!!!!!!

  • I Like the funk....

  • Fab singer,

    Love This Track

    Many Thanks For The Post

  • great music!

  • Great Song.

  • Wow! Love this.

  • This track ticks all my boxes. Funk at it's best

  • heres another of the lost 80's male vocalists that did present real soul, along with Jeffrey Osborne - Freddie Jackson - Kashief and early Luther. somehow they got lost in the shuffle. Howard also did a some background vocals for Micheal Jackson ( off the wall)

  • @DJofDESTRUCTION Didn't you know the music industry was design to keep the best of artists down.

It's all about bubble gum chart toppers. 2011, it's all about the sexy profile. Damn the vocals, if you look good on candy cam, you have a record deal.

Buy, Yes, I too concur with your statement, HJ got lost in the shuffle!

  • Regulate by Warren G samples this one

  • Another incredible song written and produced by Kashif.

  • This was my 1st album of Howard. I played it so much that the vinyl melted...LOL. this was 1 of my favorite cuts on here. Brings back some nice memories

  • just simply smooth!!!!!!man, they just don't make music like this anymore

  • One of my all time favorite songs. Great lyrics.

  • I remember blasting this in my car on my way to pickup my girlfriend me and her riding all over the east side S.A......Many years later she's now my wife. Songs back then meant something and it was real!

  • Yeah, every song I played in the car back then, expressed what I was feeling to my girlfriend. Now I'm a great communicator of love to all women!!!

  • Was just strting to DJ when this came out as a B side to So Fine. But this soon became the selectors choice. When I played in the reggae clubs this was always a killer with the lovers crew. BIG CHOON!! Real music. Still does it today too......

  • I like howard johnson...excellent singer

  • tremendo temón !!

  • A beautiful song, thanks.

  • one of my favourite songs of all time....great post!

  • Chi-town 1983 and visting the club "Fantasy"

    Fort Sheridan, Il

  • That took me Way back in the day!!!!!

  • I had this on the best 7" I ever bought.

This was the b side to So Fine.

    What a twofer.

Fair play to Kashif for giving it up and not keeping it for himself.

  • Fell in love with this song back in 1983. Remembering riding to friend's grandmother's house with my cousin and her boyfirend when I first heard this song and I never forgot it. Some memories are too good to forget! My sister loves it too! Great post!

  • this is hot for some 82 style for real it could be a fresh sample

  • thats when music was oh so real.!

  • How you gonna post a short version? No one likes to get teased.

  • i love early '80s r&b. thats the only music i listen to

  • I rock this one every time I get in my car. *rockin slow from side to side*

  • DAMN, he sings SO MUCH like Kashif (and yes, I know Kashif wrote the song).

  • Yeah..This Is TIGHT.

  • toto je supa

  • One of my all time faves, got the 7"...rare groovin it!

  • not many people know of him

  • The song is so dope but that guitar lick in the chorus is the cherry on top.

  • This is lovely:)

  • I have this entire album, made a tape, and hooked the boom box up from the audio outs to my CD burner and have a quasi-digital copy of the whole CD.. it spins in my 10-disc changer always and 4-ever!

  • Must sound great, What a tune!

  • I mean, you tryna share or what?! *head to side* =)

  • This was my Favorite by Howard. Back in the day some folks made fun of "So Fine" but I thought it was great!

  • OMG...This is a smoker. I haven't heard this since my older used to play his LP to death when I was 12 or 13. I'm from Chicago but now in Sacramento, Ca and I DJ old school sets and steppers sets too. This song is a smooth steppin song. For all steppers and hand dancers out there, add this one to your collection.

  • Sick post, thanks!

  • so good

  • Got this one in my collection too. Play it so much that my children, who are 12 & 16, sing it. My children love the 80's. They know this stuff now cant touch the music we had.

  • Nice Song!!

  • Gregster, this is croon3. I forgot about this jam. I met Howard at Sears in Santa Monica in 88'. He had his little baby with him in a stroller. He was a cool dude.

    Peace croon3

  • You guys remember when every song on the album was badd?

  • This song makes you appreciate the one you love. Paul Laurence and Kashif ruled 1981-85!!

  • Wow, I haven't heard this jam in sooooo long. This song is good to the last note!

  • so good

  • love this song. so smooth. like wine.

  • Was Howdy Johnson ever in a train?

  • Was Howard Johnson ever on Soul Train?

  • yes

  • My latest video that I posted has him performing this song.

  • Great song produced by Kashif, very underrated too.

  • I was in Germany when this came out and hearing brought back a hella lot of memories. Thanks!!!!!

  • fantastic song

  • the best !!!

  • I think it's okay if it sounds dated, that's what brings back the memories of a different time

  • when it came out it was ok but dont you thibk a lot of the 80s stuff sounds more dated than say the 70s stuff you know all those drum machine as opposed to the natural syncopation od bass, drumms and rithim guitar played by real people?

  • thanks....gr3gster

  • This song will make me warm and happy inside. I'm glad you posted this song.

  • howard johnson superbe artiste
