You can keep scotland, whats the population again - 5 million!! Lovely place to visit but not much of a power broker in the big world if you went it alone. Feck- the new eastern block countries coming into europe have more clout!! Everyone goes on about the oil, so what!! is that what is sustaining both countries - I think not , look a little harder at who's keeping who!!
We don't want to be a "world power"! That is the whole point. Losing influence in the world seems to be far more of a concern to the English/British than to the Scots. I think a radically slimmed down Britain/England without Scotland may might it much more of a painful adjustment when it comes to getting their voice heard in the global arena. The global community tend to disdain the rump part of countries that are left after some of their bits gain independence.
