  • im a big fan of the replicants album!

  • Failure was amazing.

  • What a beautiful song.

  • I know this song is about drugs but it reminds me of a very bad relationship I had...whenever I listen to it it brings back the pain but I can't stop listening. Love it so much <3

  • Fantastic Planet was SOOOO way ahead of its time. The masses are finalyl starting to come around and realize Failure's genius. Bring on the reunion!

  • fantastic planet is the best album ive ever heard. ive gotten laid to this album a ruthless number of times, right around the solo to this song.

  • I love this song

  • You really have to close your eyes to this to really get there. Having the ability to see this be played doesn't even come close to justifying how amazing this song really is.

  • Fantastic planet = most underrated album of the 90's

  • If Ken Andrews isn't the most underrated musician of my generation, I don't know who is.

  • bbeast

  • Failure, Tool, Replicants, Lusk, Autolux, Ken Andrews, The Year of the Rabbit, etc., GENIUS!

  • Ken Andrews is a legend

  • genius he is, with all of his projects

  • cool fisheye lens. I have to get this record out and play it again.

  • FAILURE was the BEST band EVER. I worship FAILURE AND KEN ANDREWS. I WILL DO WHATEVER IS THY BIDDING!!!!

  • @hermie2000 Amen to that!

  • @hermie2000; I used to think the same thing. I am one of Failure's biggest fans. I even saw them in 1996. Please don't take too lightly the influence of Greg Edwards. Without him, Failure wouldn't have been Failure. Kelli Scott's drums are very important too. If you need proof of Greg's genius, listen to anying by Autolux. And, for Kelli Scott's great drumming check out The Brontosaur's LP. EXCELLENT stuff.

  • This guy is amazing.....as is all Failure stuff.

  • I love the Che Guevara poster in the back.

Love the guitar also, Jaguars are the greatest...unless that's a Jazzmaster, I can't tell the difference just from sight.

  • its an old Jazzmaster. Jaguars have single coils.

  • Thanks, I've actually played Jaguars with Humbuckers.

By "unless that's a Jazzmaster" I didn't mean that they suck, I just meant that I've never played one, so I wouldn't know... I assume that's why people gave me 'thumb downs'.

  • Jags can be modded to have HBs just like any guitar but when they were first made by Fender and made popular, they weren't routed for HBs and were released stock without HBs, just SCs. During recent years, Fender has released variations of the Jaguar with HBs. Ken's JM here is a post-CBS model which has the characteristic features of a 60-70s era JM.

  • Jazzmasters also have single coils but they have wide flat pick ups that makes them sound different to a jag.

  • love doing heroin to this song. Thanks for speaking to the junkies

  • Nail dust is a drug!

  • your an idiot

  • Greg Edwards wrote the lyrics to most of the songs on Fantastic Planet.

  • Fantastic Planet is a great album

  • Damn, I never expected Ken to have such a deep speaking voice, from the way he sings...

It's funny how it was originally in half-step down tuning, and he's in standard here, you can tell he's having a hard time singing it... He should have had somebody squeeze his balls for him lmfao...

  • I agree it sounds still pretty good. But I'm sure it would have been a lot easier on him to do it in its original tuning Drop Db. Ken's voice has gotten better though so he managed to pull it off.

  • this version is amazing....really emphasizes the lyrics which are pretty fuckin serious...it's easy to miss or not really pay attention to it in the Failure FP version (because lyrics weren't in the booklet for FP)

  • Anyone notice d guy in d background pickin his nose at 1:31.

Ken come to Ireland u fucking legend!

  • Hahahahahahah Awesome! He goes at it for like 10-15 seconds. Damn booggerr gave him a hard time.

  • it was his eyelash, egit!

  • That guy's not pickng his nose, he's DIGGING for gold.

  • One of my favorite Fantastic Planet songs (right with "Heliotropic")

    Beautiful *.*

  • Acoustic version of this song??? There is nothing better. So beautiful.

  • thanks for uploading this video... just one off topic question: what type of camera lense you used to get that distorted-fish-eye type of image?? looks even like a 15mm or even smaller than that... I'd appreciate to know...

  • he does it better than failure.

    wow.

    KEN ANDREWS U R GOD

  • it's a failure song, dipshit.

  • I know that dumbass. Failure is my favorite band.

Ken andrews does not equal failure.

Ken andrews performs this song better than failure.

  • You're a genious!

  • i disagree. i think it was a totally equal sound in failure. ken andrews alone is awesome...but its missing something...

he's better than autolux though lol

    i love autolux btw =)

  • He was in failure.

  • OK. Well he means that he does it better alone than the full band's arrangement. You people are idiots.

  • Exactly... I meant ken andrews solo version is better than the failure version. I know ken andrews is from failure. I know its his song.

Before you can talk on the internet there should be an IQ test or a GED or something that you have to pass first...

  • I wish failure was still around.. amazing. I almost prefer this version to the studio version. I can relate to Fantastic Planet so much as a recovering addict.

  • fantasic bravo merci bou coup

  • chaw...fm 9.49 is awsome

  • Bernie's got the way to feel good times...

  • doesn't she live on the way to the park?

  • ...we don't even have to wait until dark.

  • this is outstanding. check out how all the failure fans are swooning over this vid. It's great.

  • i am a failure fan and I am swooning, so damn you got that right!!

  • goosebumps!!!!!!!!

  • I got to see Failure twice at Lollapalooza on the same day. One of the best days of my life. Ken is a very nice guy in person, too.

  • he looks like Peter Saarsgard.

  • Dude YES! He played this song with so much feeling, damn good stuff. He should put out some unplugged singles of old Failure songs.. god I want to hear more!

  • Hell yes, my favorite Failure song of all time!

  • Wow these videos are fantastic, thanks for posting... hehe great to see this song done in a simple stripped down fashion, have often played the song like this myself, ken you genius

  • I'm glad I found this video! Ken always has the most unique chord voicings, and this song is no exception. I am now playing along to this!

  • YESS!!! I was hoping this would be up soon, I was getting stuck on some parts!!!

  • YESS!!! I was hoping this would be up soon, I was getting stuck on some parts!!!

  • This is Awesome!. Go Ken Go :)

  • one of my favorite songs of all time.

    Thanks ken!

  • Woot, woot!

  • very cool, hope Ken comes back soon.
