  • LOVE OLDIES

  • This shit right here is sick as bitch tits!

  • I remember when that was so popular. Great oldie.

  • In this case, one should add a letter "s" to movie to make it plural : movies. I realize this is difficult for some who come from an Asian background, illustrated by a friend who asked me if I wanted "one bag noodle". Meaning on bag OF NOODLES...but he's not from around here.

  • @MisterPinkle That's inexcusable. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

  • Man...if only people didn't have to feel this way. That's life.

my husband tried it on his mandolin & said it's in the key of D, G & A

  • i dunno about seeing sad movies but this song really makes me cry....

  • There should be a music video about this song. :)

  • the memories are slowly coming back to me:D

  • This song really shows the need to be so careful in who we give our hearts to. Bastards usually don't realize that they are. Same with cheating women. Who you give your heart to will be one of the major factors that will affect where who you will be (and your children) in 20 years time.

Love is not just feelings. It is a commitment & decision to walk and stay together through both the good times & the bad. From experience, this has given me happiness beyond my wildest dreams. Keep On Loving.

  • I think Sue Thompson sings this song better than the Lennon Sisters did. Thanks for posting..

  • Thank you for uploading this. I I don't I ever heard the record. My mother used to sing this to me when putting me to sleep when I was a little girl. We laugh about it because the song would make me cry, but I'd ask her to sing it. Special moments with my mom.

  • I can say only that Sue Thompson has a style of vocalizing which can make you laugh or cry depending on the content, and mood of each song she sings. She is unique, & of that I am sure. God Bless ! Ron..."SNOWMAN II" 10/10 On The Side

  • This makes me recall those joyous years of bonding with my friends and school mates. .. seemed only yesterday.

  • Oh how I love the oldies!

  • Sad movies make us cry and impel us to remember the sweetness and the subtle and poignant memories of the past, making us richer and appreciative of the past. He who does not remember the past is condemned to repeat it.I would better not remember so that I'll keep on repeating listening to and singing to Sad Movies

  • Haven't heard her voice in years, but I saw her on TV back in the early 1960s in LA. Someone said she was married to Hank Penny.

  • naalala q ung nanay q pag-kumakanta sa banyo hahah

  • cont.

and when the girl got home....her mother asked her...."why she was teary-eyed"

    and then...the girl answered...

"it's because of the movie...sad movies always made her cry...=(..."

    so that's it!!

  • this song deals with a girl who asked her boyfriend to go and watch movie with her...but the boy refused..so the girl decided to watch the movie alone(the movie was actually a cartoon movie) hehehe...then after that...when the girl was watching the movie...she saw her bf with another girl and the girl that was with her by was her best friend...and then what hurts most is that...when she saw the two kissed with each other...

  • parang may inuman lang sa kanto ah hahaha

  • ako! :D

    damn, i missed this song..

  • nice song.

  • no shit Sherlock.Very good investigating.

  • I don't think she's crying because of a "sad movie." Instead, she's crying because she caught her boyfriend two-timing her. Listen carefully to the lyrics and you will see what I'm driving at.

  • she cries because of her sad movie

  • When I was a young kid I remember my sisters singing this song, brings back alot of good memories of yesteryear.Great song by a great lady. Thanks for posting and I have already sent it to my sisters,by the way I hadn"t heard this fabulus song in a long long time. Thanks again.

  • Great editing of clips perfectly set to the music. Nice job.

  • aww this song is sad :(

  • The best by test. I used to sing this song in the 50's and sixties. Simple and moving song. We called this in Trinidad...Tabanca songs. Because most songs had that tinge of melancholy feelings. Teenage love. Splendid. Just splendid. Lonely Boy, Carol, Diana, Dream Lover, Great Pretender, wooden heart etc etc. The loving era.

  • I from the 90's in trinidad but i remember a faster version it was probably reggae but i cant find it though.

  • Im from trinidad to and the trini version is pretty nice as well too....lol....

  • id love to hear it, if anyone can link it

  • I am not sure of the raggae version but it wouldn't surprise me. In order to really enjoy the story behind the song...only Sue Thompson got what it takes...ahhh maybe Millie Small with "My boy lolipop" Now as to a Trinidad version...maybe Holly from Scouting for talent had some Ok singers lol. In the days of Mavis John and Big brother Dave her former husband they had a duet together and yes it was also moving. Can't remember the name now. The beauty of these songs is captured in simple "love"

  • This is a classic...

  • Knowing this!

  • Sino Mga Pinoy Dito?

  • i think this is from the 1960s or 70s... most likely 60s. OuO

  • Gosh, haven't heard this somg for years.

Why can't they make songs like this anymore?

    Thanx for sharing.

    WIW.

  • This song brings back memories, but better than that, a 13 yo knows the words. Makes me feel good.

  • I'm 13 and I love this song!!

  • isablla;its refreshing to know such a young person likes a song from the sixties.

  • It's because both my parents are singers... they sing almost every weekend and I sing along. Most of my favorite songs are those from the 60's - 90's (or somewhere near that). Songs these days are so... annoying.
