White collar prison life is very much "prison life." The only reason other criminals are kept locked up so tightly is because they're a threat to themselves and others. The expense of locking up white collar criminals is unnecessary and unjustifiable due to their low risk of escape or violence. Where Pavlo stayed was a cramped unairconditioned camp within the grounds of the Marion, IL penitentiary. The conditions were just as bad or worse than in the big house.
