@sixteenbitter The Saturn one is the best but the most expensive. However, the PS1 versions are ridiculously cheap so if you just want to try the series out those are probably fine to start with.
Wow, those look very good man! I'll definitely look into getting some of the Asuka 120% games now, thanks a lot for showing these off. It's much appreciated, I'm always expanding my list of gaming obscurities =P
@DansGameCorner The Saturn one is the best but the PS1 versions aren't bad and can usually be had for a cheap price. Even the Saturn one isn't too expensive though.
No problem! This is a direct result of me being a chronic impulse buyer. I tend to randomly buy stuff and from time to time, it pays off.
Asuka 120% was originally something I bought out of a bargain bin at an import shop in NYC back in the day.
@The8bittheater Thanks! Japan is really great for retro games. There is so much stuff that never got released outside of Japan that there are tons of gems that not many people know about.
@PeteDorr Definitely check it out. I don't think it's all that expensive either. Even then, the PS1 versions, while not as good, are even more cheap. Cheaper than the PC-engine version even.
Ooooh hell yesssss!!! Fighting game review time!!! I remember hearing about this game and wanting it. It looks very similar to Arcana Heart for sure as most girl fighters do. Very detailed review as always Joe, definitely keep up the work!
@PointBlankGamez Every time I sit down to do the subtitles I think, "I should forget the subtitles!" but then I remember that I always get comments and messages from Japanese people thanking me for putting in subtitles so I keep doing it.
Hello fellow game reviewer. I have one question for you. How the hell do you only have 177 subscribers? You got some great content on your channel. I don't get it.
@xcornmuffinx I too review obscure games. So I guess I know where you're coming from. Still, you deserve more views. I'll try and mention you a few times to see if I can get you a little bit more exposure. Even some of my fans will enjoy your stuff.
@GX2Productions I like obscure games and obscure game reviews. Really, I play a lot of popular games too but I don't think anyone needs to hear my review of Deus Ex when others have already done it. I'd rather tell people about stuff that they might not have heard of or might like but haven't had a chance to play. That's the idea anyway.
Any help would be awesome though! I would definitely be appreciative.
cornmuffin i am not lying when i say this is an excellent series!!! I dont think i have played this game, and it does remind me a lot of acana hearts. Also gal fighters for the neo geo pockets, but without the cartoony fights!
@zeroXshinobi Thanks a lot man! This is a pretty obscure series, even for fighter fans. It's just interesting because the system was pretty great for a fighter at the time and it's a lot of fun to play.
Hey Joe, I have this game but I guess I had the pronunciation wrong. I assumed Asuka as "A Soo Ka I should have looked at the Japanese. Great little fighter
Thanks for the review. Very organized and concise.
@TheGreenMonkeyKing Ah yeah, that's a common mispronunciation. It looks that way in English. Probably a better romanization would be Aska. The U is virtually silent.
Thanks! I felt good about this one. It wasn't too long and I didn't feel like I had to cut too much of what I wanted to say out.
@tb46667 It's pretty obscure, especially if you aren't obsessively looking for new fighters to play. I picked up tons of fighters back in the day because I was importing stuff on the Saturn after they stopped releasing games in the US and the Capcom fighters were amazing.
@Consoletronix Yeah, it get's Pretty Fighter comparisons but this one is better in terms of game play. The game it's most like is Variable Geo but only because after the team broke up some went on to make that.
@BenG76show Though the Saturn one is the best, there PS1 and PC-engine versions are much cheaper so, if you just wanted to try it out there's always those options as well.
Great video. Really interested in picking it up now!

Freekin sweet, I should go game shopping with you sometime, you've got a much better handle on Japanese games than I do.

@PointBlankGamez I've got one more in the pipeline. It's a PS2 fighter next time so it'll probably be something you've played but it's a good one.
Thanks a lot man, hopefully I'll be able to get some more reviews out at a quicker pace. The subtitles take forever!
