on memorial day i saw an elderly ww2 veteran getting out of his car and i noticed he had his uniform on and he had medals on his chest, and i shook his hand and said thank you and you could see he was about to cry. very powerful moment.

My brother rode in an armored van with his friend and two others, he was the backup medic, the got hit by an IED, the medic died intsantly, the driver, died a slow painful death, my brothers friend, had shrapnel in his gut, he was alright, and then he was shot several times by an innocent forced to kill, he died in my brothers arms, he was killed, by a 7 year old girl. My brother almost killed her, if not for the fear in her eyes he would have.
