This was absolutely the best production of my favourite opera, out of dosens that I have seen in the best opera houses in many countries, including Russia. Fortunately, it was recorded on video. Unfortunately, the video does not give justice to the beautiful set.

But I would check the year of the performance. Seems to me, it was 1986, though I may be wrong.

By the way, this was the first time that Mirella Freni sang Tatiana.

Peter Dvorsky in 1985. Great performance! He acts and sings with such fire and passion. He has become the embodiment of a frustrated and angry Lensky.
