Wow, they made absolutly NO visual enhancements whatsoever for the SEGA CD version! Only noticable improvements are in terms of the audio!

Being a huge hockey and video game fan, I have both 94 and 08 and most of them in between. 94 is much more fun, especially with friends, and features phenominal rosters of some of the greatest players of all time from their prime years like Lemieux, Gretzkey, Messier, Yzerman, Hull, etc. NHL 08 is either too damn easy (on lower difficulties) or annoyingly frustrating on the higher ones with inhuman goalies and too many post hits. It's not even close; 94 is a billion times more fun to this day.

I disagree, i think the physics in 96 are a lot more fluid and there is a better season mode in 96.

96 had much more fluid skating, a much better season mode and actual wear on the ice. I enjoyed 96 a lot more.

The EA hockey series went to shit after 94. The ice in 96 looked dull and unrealistic compared to 92-94. The whole graphics went to crap starting with 95, and the skating in 96 is WAY too fast, not fluid. Its herky jerky. To each his own.
