Hint hint: This is a quick sneak peak and thriller shriller for all you Marvel fans who wonders how Thor will get to Earth in The Avengers since the Bifrost has broken? There is a very quick line Loki said in the movie to Heimdall when he came to the Bifrost to destroy Jotunheim & before freezing Heimdall with the Frost Giant's Relic: "You think the Bifrost is the only way in and out of this realm? There are secret paths between worlds to even which you, with all your gifts, are blind to."
@bongomuffin121 I got the same thing out of it Bongomuffin. Not sure why but the movie was just a fun experience but the big part was I kept feeling more invested in the characters than I would typically for a movie. I don't think I've ever felt sympathy for a Superhero they way I did when Thor couldn't get the hammer and when Loki told him Odin was dead. The actors did really good in this one.
@weasleytwins207 Yeah, the Earth searches for Thor. Its getting there. I mean we've only had some 50 thousand years and already showing promise - there is hope that one day it will find him in all of us.
@jonnah0 Those are quotes from Thor and Heimdall(The Gatekeeper of the 9 Realms) near the end of the movie. After the Bifrost had been destroyed by Thor's Mjolnir to protect the destruction of Jotunheim, most of the Asgardians were to believe that the only way to and from other worlds was through the power of the Bifrost, especially Thor. Anyway, from what Heimdall replied, "She searches for you," they were both talking about Jane, the mortal on Earth, whom Thor loves.
@bongomuffin121 inspired? well its kinda based on norse mythology.... just changed into more of a science and so it fits into todays knowledge like having it as planets and such
and just changed so loki was adopted by odin and blablablabala
@iJordi10 it was! People hated it for no reason, couple of awkward lines but those were still funny. I really hope tha avnegers or what ever it's called delivers as good as thor did
I have to say, of all the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) Movies so far, and the whole pantheon, that while Tony and Pepper still hold first place, Thor and Jane are in a close second for the most interesting love story. Bruce and Betty were okay, and Steve and Whatsherface just bored me to tears. I would also like to add that Jane, Darcy and Erik make a great little ensemble, and I would love to see them again in Thor 2.
@aliasgirl47 but their wasting loki in the avengers, so then thor 2 won't be as good. thor 2 won't even be directed by kenneth branagh, and there is rumors PATRICK DOYLE IS QUITTING! :O
@angelinah02 hm...maybe. but he HAS TO respect doyle's old soundtrack, maybe just do remixes of it to make new musics(like christopher young did for spiderman, i think he did a good job working from danny elfman's score)
Amazing movie,music,costumes.graphics,story...everything!!!Simply a masterpiece for one of the greatest heros of Marvel!!!Can't w8 for the Avengers movie!!!
The reasons Thor, Iron Man and Hulk were good and Captain America was average was because the main actors were good. Shame Norton (replaced by Ruffalo) Branagh isn't doing the sequel to Thor
@Hartebreaker84 Their busy working on the storyline for Thor 2, the movie is set for Summer 2014. He is reunited with Jane. I hope Hopkins returns has Odin, he was good. I don't know much about the storyline, but Thor asks Jane for help in one of the nine realms.
Great song Patrick Doyle did an outstanding job with the score to this movie..Thor was a good movie, it wasnt great..but good enough to keep watching..its the set up for the big Avengers movie..
The movie didn't convey it properly but in legend and marvel lore he was famous for pulling tricks on people, setting friends against one another etc...
In norse myth he's the god of mischief, as you probably know. Bit of an understatement I know but they need to romanticise it somehow. He can't be the god of pricks. : p
@VirtualAutonomy Yeah I see what you mean. It took me a while to notice but yeah the movie Loki isn't really the god of mischief.... more like the god of traumatizing revelations or something.
Given that he WASN'T the god of mischief though, people still seemed to hate him.
Then again, by letting those giants into Asgard he kinda got those guards killed... and he was okay with it. So I guess that counts. :)
@yaloolah42 It's actually not too hard to understand why they all hated him. He had a track record of... well, being the God of Mischief. Not to mention the fact that people seem to have a strange dislike of those who are different. Trust me, I would know. I've been in Loki's situation (minus the family part) since... well, my whole life. I have yet to figure out why people don't like me.

I think that it's rare to feel so emotional for the charactersin this type of film, but Thor delivers.

If you want to hear one of the best soundtrack songs. Youtube "Conan the Barabarian". That soundtrack from the 80's movies is one of the best.
