Hey Sara, I really appreciate your style of preparing the food. Because of the combination of classical "french" aromes such as white vine and apples, "italian" herbes and indian curry I'd very kindly like to ask where you in the USA live and if your family has cosmopolitical roots.
This is an amazing recipe!!! thank you !!!! i put mine on a bed of veggies (carrots, onion, garlic, lemons, and fennel). The Fennel will accent the "eastern" spices in the curry. I also added a dash of chinese 5-spice into my paste. really brings out the corriander flavor. The cool thing about the veggies: they'll cook with the sauce and add aroma to the chicken!!! made a nice gravey....and roasted veggies were yummy!
After viewing this video, one could theoretically cook this dish from memory; that is how simple and informative it is. The host takes the time to explain some nuances that may not be obvious to the average cook (to wit, her explanation of curry or the benefit of growing thyme in one's garden). The end result is a tangy chicken dish resulting from a combination of lemon, apples, cinnamon, herbs, and spices. It is an easy main dish which would pair easily with various sides.
I'm not sure where all the ridiculous comments are coming from.
Ma'am, thank you for taking the time to share with us, I am going to cook this for some friends here in Tokyo tonight. Lemons might cost a bit here, but this looks delicious!
This is not Curry lady pls go read indian cooking and learn what is curry you just made Turkey style chicken just using ready-made spice but it takes alot of effort to make curry the real curry chicken...i do not recommend this receipe its CONFUSING
There are a lot of nasty comments on this video, which is quite good. Who cares what her voice is like? She is easy to understand and I am going to try the recipe.
wait a second - i never knew you pronounced herb as "erb" and she really needs to sort out the way she says "chicken". btw it does look really nice - but i'm sure 425 degrees celsuis is way too hot.
this lady's voice is like the sound of 10,000 mice scratching their claws against a metal roof... forget about those high-pitched alarms they use to keep teens away from shops... play this tape and loiterers will stay well away... damn.
Im totally i agree, and by the way the presentation of this chicken is not visually good, she represent the tycal middle -class woman who think she knows about other cultures, but she doesn´t...food is more than food, is culture and a expression of love
errr olive oil with curry spices, not sure about that. Also curry powder varys a lot, basically no standard, so though one will taste nice, another will be horrible. (Try 1 tbsp of corrianda with 1 of cumin, 4 cloves, 2 cardomon, 1/2" cube fresh ginger, 1 garlic clove).
i wanna come over her house for dinner! lol

All those flavors...I bet that's soooo good.

just add salt, comino, garlic and onion to flavor the chicken. Nothing more Nothing less for a normal Ecuadorian roasted chicken.
