i would love to see that, or take my budgue and let him stay for a day in the wild, if i could trust him. thumbs up if you woud do that for your budgie too
@wradmiral There is a way you can do that and its by collecting nature stuff (make sure its green) and put it in your cage. simple but take it out before they go to bed and redo it in the morning. ;) hope i helped!
I think that anyone who keeps any type of bird in a cage is committing "bird abuse"...how would you like to be in a jail for your whole life? and don't bother saying that you are really kind and nice to your bird/s or that they'd only die in the wild. If I was a bird I'd rather live for 1 day in the wild that a hundred years in captivity...but that's just my opinion.
@marnie827 The problem is wild budgies were domesticated by the Dutch a few hundred years ago and then by the Japanese in the early 19th century. Our domestic budgies come mostly from this stock with the occasional wild budgie gene introduced before Australia forbade the exportation of bird species. I have had many tame budgies and they lived happy long lives. One lived 17years and I was so hearbroken when it died I have not owned one since.
Thanks bplatt! They are very intelligent and very beautiful to watch, whether as individuals, in pairs or in flocks. Spectacular is a good word for them. Glad you enjoyed the clip.
This video helps leave little wonder why the budgerigar is the most popular pet bird in the world. Budgies are spectacular in every way, whether living life in the wild or as the spoiled avian creatures mine happen to be. Thank you, davidcrocket9, for sharing such magnificent glimpses into the native culture of this beloved species.
I see why that the wild budgies are green and yellow; it helps them blend into the grass. I have learned that budgies forage for food in grassy areas.
@groveavenue The ones we keep as pets arent the ones from the wild there are 2 types of budgies ya fucking naturalist do your research before going on and making yourself look stupid
@groveavenue Aw I think that the pet birds have a easier life cause they have no predaters like cats, hawks and Aborigines feasting on them. The only danger to a pet bird is if you have a cat and a crap cheap cage.
Remember Budgerigar is Aborigines for good to eat.
@pepsibarker "Rememer Budgerigar ist Aborigines for good to eat" is a translation that leeds to a wrong understanding. I believed it for many years until I read that it means: where budgerigar are, there is something good to eat - not them!!! In this way, it makes sense!

@STHFGDBY Yes, absolutely! Budgies are blue or white in nature, it does not, at least not in a swarm as a dominate color!
This man has played so God. It was playing around with genes and mutations.

Thumbs Up If You Like The Budgie!

bryan0102 How daft can you be? Do you seriously suppose that the remote ancestors of our caged budgies were captives too? They must have been wild.
groveavenue 1 year ago
It does look like a good life, though it undoubtedly has its hard times .. when the rain goes.
davidcrocket9 1 year ago
This is how budgerigars should live. It is cruel and unnatural to capture any of them and cage them.
